Kunimi 100% calls Kindaichi darling, even before they started dating. You can't change my mind, because I am currently addicted to this thought.
Kindaichi calls Kunimi star, because they met in grade school at a stargazing spot after fights with a sibling and a cousin. They realized they had seen each other in the halls and vented to each other. Since then, they went to middle school and high school together, hung out, mostly in coffee shops because Kunimi pretty much hated going anywhere else.
They are joined at the hip in the most subtle way, and got together because Oikawa dragged them to a private place and told them the other like them, then left them there together for them to come to practice with Kindaichi smiling so wide it wasn't funny, and Kunimi not wearing a scowl about having to practice.
Usually he would say, "If I exhaust myself now, and don't even start with that much practicing energy, how am I supposed to play in the actual game?"
That day, and no, the non-scowl Kunimi did not last, Kunimi went all out, and get this, smiled✨ His smile is so precious, try to change my mind.
