Yamaguchi decided to walk yachi home. But sens she was still scared from what happened she asked Yamaguchi to stay they ended the night by cuddling.

Yoichi pov:

Another morning awoke Yoichi, who was just getting used to this new peaceful life, spending his time trying to figure out math, english and science questions.

Before sleeping, both yamaguchi and him would give each other a detailed report on each others' days.

Yoichi would always be amused by Yamaguchi's ship stories of Mitsuba and Shinoa, Yuu and Mika.

Finally, the day Yoichi had been dreading, monday came. Serving practice with Tsukkishima.

While Yoichi was frantically flipping through his notes on 'serving 101', yamaguchi's mother called for him, "Tadashi! Kei is here, come in come in! No no it's fine..." the rest was inaudible.

"Hey"

Yoichi looked up awkardly, "Uhm hey Tsukkishima!"

A look of confusion spread across Tsukki's face, yamaguchi had always referred to him as 'Tsukki'. Was he angry about something? Tsukki just raised his eyebrows and nonchantly rushed, "Hurry up, let's go"

"hah-uhm, yes Tsukkishima"

"What- oh okay hurry up"

At the court.

Okay, calm down yoichi, you can do this! for yama-kun! Yoichi took a deep breath and threw the ball in front of his face and prepared to hit it when it dropped. The ball just dropped.

"What are you doing, Yamaguchi"

"Oh uhm I forgot to hit the ball sorry Tsukkishima" Yoichi sheepishly answered, volleyball was way harder than he thought.

"what, okay go again"

This went on and on, when Yoichi managed to hit the ball, it often hit the net, only sometimes did it fly over to. Out of court.

"Okay, you're not acting like yourself what's going on?" Tsukkishima asked frowning, finally unable to keep it in anymore.

Yoichi gulped, oh no! He figured it out! This guy is sharp, like Shiho.

(meanwhile in tsukki's head... I F****** LOVE DINOSOURS.. no this isn't the time, kei, yamaguchi is not acting like himself.)

“Oh uhm, sorry Tsukkishima, I just, I uhm I'm not feeling well" Yoichi lied, grimacing. (headcanon that when yoichi lies, he's like tanjiro from kny)

Tsukki recoiled, "I see that, stop practice now. Let me bring you home"

"Ah okay"

Out of the blue, droplets of rain fell from the sky, as if on cue. Tsukki sighed and began swiftly stuffing the volleyballs back into his bag and Yoichi's.

He pulled out an umbrella and held it over him and Yoichi's head.

"The umbrella is to small, stay closer to me" Tsukki gestured, tilting the umbrella to Yoichi's side.

"Huh? Oh thank you Tsukkishima!"

Tsukki's face dropped at the sound of 'Tsukkishima' and sighed, "It's okay Tadashi- oh no uhm Yamaguchi"

At home, after Tsukki's strict orders to stay in bed, Yoichi was bed-ridden with only Yamaguchi's funny thoughts to keep him company. Before bed, Yoichi began the daily conversation with Yamaguchi.

"I also need to go, Kimizuki and I need to give a detailed report to Guren with Shinya-san" Shinoa mentioned, "Rest well" before walking off as well with Shiho, who took one last look at Yamaguchi before leaving with the girl.

Soon, only Mitsuba was left with Yamaguchi.

She walked closer to his bed and sat down akwardly, "Uhm can I talk to you, Yoichi?"

"Uhm sure!" Yamaguchi was worried that some crazy topic about vampires was about to come up.

Mitsuba smiled softly, "So uh you know how Shi has a small crush on Yuu?"

Yamaguchi kept down his thoughts of 'HOLY SH** THIS SH** GOT REAL' and nodded nonchantly.

Mitsu turned away her head and bit her lip, tugging at the hem of a dress.

"I liked her way before Yuu came in the picture, but she just" Mitsu took a deep breath, voice quavering, "I loved her way before he came! Her biggest desire was him, not me, but mine was her"

Yamaguchi could not help himself but feel bad for the girl, "Don't worry, let me help, trust me"

Mistu sniffed and rubbed her eyes, "Okay, thank you, please talk to her. But meanwhile, can I rant to you a bit?"

Before they knew it, both were bawling together, ranting about each others crushes. Just that Yamaguchi was ranting about Tsukkishima, but as Shiho's name. (yes tsukkiyama <3 no ship wars tho ty)

Several days passed, but Yamaguchi's bones still were not healed, but he had made great friends, no best friends with Mitsu. And then, while he was resting in bed, Shinoa walked in.

"Oh hey Shinoa!" He greeted the girl brightly.

"Hey yoichi! I have some good news, you've been promotted! Thanks to your brilliant behaviour at the last battle against the vampires!" Shinoa congratulated the boy happily, "And I have a favour to ask for"

"of course Shinoa! We're all family!"

"Okay, so about Mi-chan. What is your relationship with her?"

"Huh- we're best friends of course! What, jealous?"

"Haha, Yoichi how funny." Shinoa laughed sarcastically. She was acting more and more like Shinobu.

"But..I really like her but I don't think she likes me.."Shinoa began, her voice dropping to a tone which Yamaguchi had never heard before.

"She also likes you, you know!" Yamaguchi smiled, gesturing for Shinoa to sit down with him.
