<p>It is with great regret to announce that our content moderator Healnarutoule is stepping down from her position. Jin, who has been active since October 2014, holds a record of 4,115 contributions and is considered one of the second-founders of the wiki, having helped shape the basic foundation of the wiki during a time when there was nothing to work from. Unfortunately, college has been extremely strenuous and time-consuming and she is unable to balance her work with the wiki. As a result, she will be leaving the team and has suggested elections for a new content moderator who would be better fit. </p><p>As a content moderator, one will have the abilities to edit any page, whether locked or unlocked, or delete and merge any page. Candidate submissions will begin <i>September 15, 12:00 AM ET</i> and end on <i>September 24 at 11:59 PM ET</i>. The dates for the official elections will be announced shortly afterwards. </p><p>For those unfamiliar with the election process: </p><p>1) Any registered users who want to enter will write their "speech" in the comment section of this thread, explaining why they want to be a content moderator and why they should be picked. </p><p>2) After this thread is closed, a new one will be opened for voting. It will list all the candidates and their "speeches" and voters will comment who they vote for and why. </p><p>We would like to add that the general rules for voting will be applied. </p><p>Qualifications: </p><p>You must be familiarized with the guidelines . As a content moderator, you'll be a power-user and will be enforcing the rules or setting an example for others. </p><p>We would like to see that you: </p><p>1) are committed to the wiki by having contributed actively for at least a month. These edits have to be recent (May to September). </p><p>2) have at least 10 substantial edits on content pages (chapter, episode, character, music etc). Edits on different accounts, to fix vandalism, to correct grammar or spelling, etc do not count. </p><p>A basic understanding of coding is recommended (along with familiarity with source editor), but not required. </p><p>Any questions can be answered by us admins, Bureaucrat Chan, or content moderator Jin. Just leave your questions on our wall or if you prefer privacy, leave a message for a Live!Chat meetup. We'll be happy to answer anything. </p>

<p>Hey everyone, so there's been the recent problem with users changing statistics on character pages because they believe these stats no long apply. This is especially relevant on Hinata's page and I was thinking that we could update the ability template to include a title (link here ) stating "Original Statistics" or something similar to that; I'm not sure about the title, so we could certainly change that. Hopefully, this would help clarify things and prevent future situations like this. What do you guys think? </p>

<p>Recently, some of the contributors have noticed a huge problem with users not reading the guidelines before they edit. While there are many issues arising because of this, the main one is images. Many images that are uploaded by new users are usually not sourced or categorized, showing how little attention they gave to the Image Policy . In addition, fanarts are uploaded daily without sources/credits to the artists. We understand that these rules may be annoying to read and go through, but they were created in order to keep the wiki and the community organized and to prevent any problems. However, we also understand that the problem may not be with the users and may reside in the rules. So with that thought in mind, I'll like to ask a few questions about the guidelines to all users (including members of the team), including the ones who did read the guidelines. </p><p><span style="font-weight:normal;">1) Did you know to read them when you first joined the wiki? Did we make it clear that you should read them and were they easy to find?</span> </p><p>2) Are they too complicated or too ambiguous? Did you understand them when you first read them or did you have questions about unclear parts? </p><p>3) Are they easy to follow? Did we make them too long and detailed? Did we ask for too much? </p><p>4) If you find problems with the rules (too complicated, asking too much of users, too many rules, etc), what are your ideas for improvements? </p><p>We would be extremely grateful if you all could take some time to answer these. It would really help us improve the wiki as a whole. Thank you all for your time! </p>

The deadline for candidate submissions is <i>March 7, 2016</i> (next Monday) 11:59 ET! Afterwards, we will not accept any more submissions. If you're not running, this is a chance for you to vote for who you think will be qualified to become an administrator. </p><p>2) Image Galleries </p><p>Like we've mentioned in a previous news post, we're considering changing the image galleries for each character to match those of the main characters (Hinata, for example). This is still under discussion as we're looking for ways to organize these images so that they're in chronological order. For now, we're more focused on another aspect of images (#3). </p><p>3) Image Sizes </p><p>The infoboxes in this wiki were coded specifically for horizontal, full size images (images that were screenshotted and unedited–Hinata's infobox profile, for example), but we understand that it's sometimes hard to find a full size image of a character, especially a minor one. This is why we haven't made that requirement a rule, but we would like to request that all contributors upload full size images only. Square or vertical rectangular images elongate the infobox and we want the image gallery to have images of consistent sizes. If you see any character who has an infobox with a vertical or square image, please try to find a full size image for it! </p><p>4) Vandalism </p><p>Vandalism has gone down significantly this week and we may soon be able to lift the Zero-Tolerance Policy (banning vandalizers for 6 months immediately after one edit)! Thank you to all the users who've been tackling this problem. </p><p>5) Manga & Raws </p><p>The list of volumes is very behind and we need a lot of help! Chapter 183, 186, and 187 also have Chinese scans as their infobox profiles and their "Japanese names" may be in Chinese so if anyone has access to raws, could you please upload just one page (preferably the first page of the chapter) in place of those and check the kanji? Along with that, if you have access to raws or you know the Japanese names of the missing chapters, could you please make pages for them? Right now, we're not that concerned with images (except for Chinese scans because we'll rather stick with the original raws). Thank you very much! </p>

<p>Recently, there have been a major spike in vandalism and a lack of activity from the current admins due to schoolwork or just work in general. First of all, we apologize for this and would like to thank the contributors (especially BumblingBoo & RozzaPanda) for helping out with vandalism and other work on the wiki. Second, after the huge vandalism attack yesterday, the admins have decided that we need more help on our team. Thus, we would like to announce that one spot for an Administrator position will be opened for election. Candidate submissions will begin <i>Monday</i> <i>February 22 at 12 AM ET</i> and end on <i>Monday March 7 11:59 PM ET</i>. <p>As 2015 is coming to a close, let's all celebrate everything that this wiki has accomplished in the last year. Not only have we added a bunch of new information and articles, we have refurnished our wiki as well! I'm extremely proud of the admins for their hard work and dedication, especially because most of us are busy in school! Thank you admins for your efforts! Also, thank you to the users on this wiki for your constant devotion! It honestly means the world to the team that you guys continue to share our passion of Haikyuu! While we've been busy, you guys can contributed a major portion of the edits made this year! Though it may seem that your contribution sometimes goes unnoticed, please know that we are so grateful for everything you do! <p>Vandalism is a major problem going on with this wiki currently. This isn't tumblr - please don't enforce your ships on here. For the admins and contributors, its very disheartning (and time consuming) to have to go back to each edit and delete all the false information. Many users have given so much of their effort to push this wiki to its fullest potential, but many users have hindered that from happening. Please, as we've been saying all this time, stop vandalizing. If you vandalize once, you'll be immediately banned with no exceptions. We apologize to all our users for this, but it's time we stepped up our policies. We've been too lenient and vandalism has got to stop. Thank you everyone.  </p>

In order for that to happen, we would like to request some help with image categorizing and sourcings (more information before***). The change we intend to make is to use standard profile sizes for each character so the page will look neater. </p><p>Image galleries may be changed drastically. At the bottom of each (minor) character's infobox, there's a link to an image gallery, but the gallery leads to the character's image category instead. This might be changed to match the image galleries of major characters, but this is still being decided on by the admins (we may discuss this at the weekly admin meeting at 9 PM (ET) on Thursday). </p>

• • • <i>Image Sourcing</i>: First of all, thank you to all the users that upload the images to the wiki! Before we can get started on image galleries and renovation of the Characters page, we need easy access to images. The most simple way to find them is to go through the categories (Ex: Images of Tobio Kageyama, etc) so please help us out by categorizing the images you guys upload! It would also be extremely helpful if you could add the source to the description of the image as well! Here's an example of a fully categorized and sourced image. This not only makes the renovation progress easier, it also allows users to locate the scenes a certain picture appears in or find more images of certain characters. You could also place the episode/chapter number in the name of the image instead, but it'll be a lot easier for it to go in the Summary section of the "About". Thank you very much!

We hope it stays at this level (or better, decrease even more). School/college/work has been taking up most of our time so we ask for everyone's patience and understanding until we can get breaks. Of course, that doesn't mean we have abandoned the wikia completely; we check up on it as often as we can, but unfortunately can not make any huge edits like we used to during the summer. For this, we ask for everyone's cooperation to help keep this wiki clean and free of vandalism. If anyone has questions about anything, the admins generally hold wiki meetings at 9 pm (ET) every Thursday, but it's not guaranteed that every admin will be on at the exact time due to personal issues. </p><p>2) Vandalism: </p><p>Since Season 2 came out, vandalism has risen tremendously. Warnings are still being given out, but bans are becoming more popular due to the quality of the vandalism. The admins and some very helpful users (BumblingBoo, Xeno daejo, Healnarutoule) are trying to keep this under control as much as possible but again, due to personal issues, we aren't able to catch everything. If you see vandalism, please help us fix it or report the offender to either me, Bureaucrat Fattieschan, or Admin 1qaz2wsx3edc4rfv. Thank you all for your cooperation. </p><p>On a related note, if you're reading this and you vandalize or are about to, please consider the contributors on this wiki (or any wiki in general) first. Some have spent hours researching and typing out the articles; just look at Kenma's page, Hinata's plot page, the Manga Guide, or the separate volume pages (that are even adorned with specific images scanned one by one from the volumes). The contributors don't work this hard just so they could have their work destroyed and spat on by others. So before you vandalize, please consider how they would feel. </p><p>3) Images: </p><p>Just a small reminder for anyone uploading images: please add the source to the description of the image :)! Here's an example. This allows users to locate the scenes a certain picture appears in.
