Alisa Haiba (Japanese:
As of 2021, she is a model.
Appearance[]
She is tall with a slender figure and has long, sandy blonde hair. Her green eyes are big and adorned by thick, long lashes. Lev, Yaku, and many others have noted her as being beautiful. She is normally seen wearing stylish clothing and small green earrings.
Post-timeskip, Alisa has changed her appearance very little but has let her hair grow to a longer length.
Personality[]
Since the moment of her debut, Alisa has acted as lively and bubbly, but also as innocent, as her brother. She is very supportive of Lev, affectionately referring to him as "Lyovochka" and cheering him on during his matches. It's also been implied that she's a bit of an imaginative romantic, which was shown when she quickly jumped to the conclusion that Akane was in love with Lev.
However, when seeing her brother make mistakes, Alisa is quick to become embarrassed, usually hiding her face, and feels the need to apologize to those around her for Lev's behavior. She is still supportive of those close to her, as can be seen when she helps Akane stay positive when Yaku was injured and removed from the game against Nohebi.
Background[]
She is Lev Haiba's older sister and is half-Russian and half-Japanese. She appears to be able to speak some Russian, as she has a Russian pet name for her brother, which is Lyovochka. She also appears to watch some volleyball, as she had used a previous game as an example to help Akane overcome her worry when Yaku had to be removed from the game against Nohebi.[1]
Plot[]
Spring High Preliminary Arc[]
Nekoma vs Fukurōdani[]
Alisa comes to support her brother during Nekoma's match against Fukurōdani Academy in the semifinals of the Spring High playoffs.[2] Standing next to Akane in the bleachers, Alisa calls out to her brother by using his nickname. Akane excitedly asks her about it as the players soon line up, both unaware of Yaku and Yamamoto admiring Alisa's beauty.
Throughout the match, Alisa cheers on Nekoma and Akane occasionally explains certain events to her. When Lev messes up initially, she hides her face in embarrassment and apologizes to those around her. Lev soon recovers and performs a successful spike, impressing Akane. Alisa watches her admire her brother and mistakes it as infatuation. She begins wondering about what things she and Akane would do as sisters if Akane and Lev were to ever get married. Her thoughts are quickly cut short when Lev sends his serve into the net and Alisa notices Akane's expression at his blunder before apologizing to the crowd on behalf of her brother.
When Yamamoto deflects a spike off Konoha to put Nekoma in the lead, Alisa praises his abilities, but Akane is more humble about her brother's talent and strength. As the match continues, Alisa begins to notice that Bokuto isn't scoring as much as he did in the early stages of the game. Akane explains that Bokuto is starting to become more concerned about the ground defense and that this is leaving him to be caught by the blockers. Near the middle of the second set, she watches as Akaashi unleashes a plan that allows Bokuto to return to peak condition.
Despite Nekoma trying their best, Alisa watches as Fukurōdani eventually claims victory.
Nekoma vs Nohebi[]
Alisa stays for Nekoma's match against Nohebi Academy and gets more involved with the cheering squad Akane leads. Like most of the spectators, Alisa is initially tricked by Nohebi's false sportsmanship and worries for Nekoma after seeing the members fall behind their opponents. However, she soon starts to realize that there's something wrong with the game.
When Yaku gets switched out due to an ankle injury, Akane sadly remarks that Yaku is one of the most important players on the team and this is his last chance to get into nationals. Alisa replies with a story of her own about how she watched on TV a match at the Nationals one year where an ace was injured and was subbed out. Despite that, his team still won, leaving a deep impression on her. This shows how hope and possibility are both born from bad luck and misfortune, cheering Akane up.[1]
Nekoma wins in the end and Lev calls out to Alisa from the court. As the players line up, she cries happily with Akane.[3]
Tokyo Nationals Arc[]
Nekoma vs Sarukawa Tech[]
Alisa mostly appears in the stands, supporting the team during the game. She does show worry when Nekoma is struggling with Sarukawa's method of trying to wear down Kenma. When Nekoma eventually wins the match, Alisa and Akane excitedly celebrate. After the match, Alisa and Akane go out and accidentally stay out longer than planned. Due to this, the two bump into Saeko and Akane begins a rivalry with the older woman.[4]
Nekoma vs Karasuno[]
Alisa attends Nekoma's match against Karasuno. As she helps set up Nekoma's banner, she is spotted by Takinoue who refers to her as a model before questioning if she is related to someone on Nekoma's team.
Alisa is taken by surprise at seeing Hinata's quick attack. Akane explains to her that the attack was at a minus tempo but is unable to continue her explanation, causing Alisa to think that Akane is trying to hold back her emotions from seeing Lev not being able to stop the attack. Later, when Lev's serve goes into the net, Alisa apologizes to those around her in embarrassment. She later greatly cheers for her brother when he is able to score a spike past Kageyama and Tsukishima. After Kuroo is able to tie the score by blocking Tanaka's spike, Alisa learns from Akane that Lev's serve, while still shaky, was aimed at Hinata to keep him from attacking.
In the second set, Alisa and Akane celebrate when Lev executes a perfect back attack, but Alisa is once again embarrassed when Lev sends his second serve out-of-bounds. When Hinata is able to receive Yamamoto's spike and win the set, Alisa is stunned like many others and then tries to cheer up Akane when the younger girl is upset that Hinata was able to win the set by making a receive. When Karasuno has reached match point, Alisa watches as Lev is able to block Hinata's direct spike attempt with a tearful expression.
When Nekoma loses the match, Alisa is seen tearfully clapping for the team. Afterwards, Alisa and Akane go to a restaurant and are seated along with some of the Karasuno supporters. Alisa does not appear too upset about Nekoma's loss but does appear joyful when she witnesses Saeko help Akane overcome her distress.[5]
Final Arc[]
Like Lev, Alisa has become a model. Her final appearance is on a billboard in Shibuya advertising perfume.[6]

Family/Nekoma High[]
- Lev Haiba: Alisa and Lev are very close and seem to have similar personalities, though Alisa's quieter and more delicate with her gestures. She seems to be used to her brother messing up during plays and gets embarrassed every time he does, apologizing frantically to those around her.
- Akane Yamamoto: It's unknown if they've known each other before the Spring High, but they appear to be good friends despite the age gap. Alisa acts as an older sister and cheers up Akane whenever something happens to Nekoma, but Akane is the one who explains the techniques used in the matches. When Alisa thought Akane liked her brother, she accepted it happily and thought of ways they could bond if they became in-laws one day.
- Nekoma High: Alisa is acquainted with most of the members but doesn't appear to be close with any of them. Both Yaku and Yamamoto find her to be attractive, but it's unknown what the others think of her.
