Asa is the mother of Kōrai and Akitomo Hoshiumi.
Appearance[]
Asa shares physical similarities with her younger son, Kōrai. She has the same large eyes and light-colored hair. She is on the shorter side, which appears to be where Kōrai inherited it from.
Personality[]
Asa is a firm but supportive mother to her sons. She is supportive of the choices they make and helps them however she can.

Plot[]
During Kōrai's flashback of his childhood, she sees his determination to want to be free from Akitomo's taunts and his beginning interest in volleyball. When Kōrai seemed certain about joining volleyball, she was seen with him at a volleyball game and sharing his surprise and excitement during a play, even though it was just the warm-ups.
After Akitomo displayed a natural ability for volleyball in front of Kōrai, she listened as Kōrai cursed his short height and suspected that he inherited his height from her or his grandfather. However, she encouraged him to not focus on this and told him to focus on ways he could become stronger than those bigger than him.
