"Asahi and Nishinoya's Global Trot" (Japanese:
Overview[]
On their trip around the world, Asahi and Nishinoya arrive in Egypt and right away become involved in an adventure they might not have been ready for.
Plot[]
As their plane lands in Egypt, Nishinoya awakens Asahi who continues to suffer the effects of jet lag. As they leave the plane and airport, Nishinoya wants a double-check of their luggage where Asahi discovers he got the wrong bag and finds a mummified body.
As the two decide to call the authorities, the two are approached by men dressed as Anubis warriors while claiming the bag belongs to them. Just as the warriors are about to advance on them, a man calls out for the warriors to stand back. The man, Dandy Jones, swings in and makes quick work of the warriors but is wounded in the process. When the fight is over, Dandy Jones passes on his important task of returning the crystal skull to the pyramid by sunset otherwise the world will be destroyed. Asahi is naturally apprehensive of accepting the task but Nishinoya happily accepts even though Dandy continues to mistake Nishinoya for Asahi's son.
After Nishinoya gets a new change of clothes and asks to be called Dandy Jones the second, they decide to inspect the crystal skull that was entrusted to them and see that it looks like a crystal version of Tanaka. Since they can't leave the mummy behind, the two dress up the body to look almost identical to Tanaka but, as they begin heading toward the pyramid, Asahi notices that they are attracting attention. However, to his shock, the Egyptian people are actually focused on him as they think he is a legitimate samurai or gang member of the Yakuza. His appearance also attracts the attention of the Anubis warriors.
Nishinoya right away attempts to hold the warriors back but is again mistaken for Asahi's son and thus ignored by the warriors. Angered at being called a kid, Nishinoya quickly beats the warriors into submission. Knowing that they won't have a lot of time to get the skull to the pyramid if they keep getting attacked, Nishinoya urges Asahi that they must move as fast as they can before it's too late.
Managing to reach the pyramid, the two come across a bridge that Asahi feels is surely rigged with traps. Nishinoya tries to get Asahi to let go of his fear and rushes ahead. Asahi was right in the bridged being rigged when giant swinging blades, arrows, and buzz saws appear but, because of his short height, Nishinoya is out of their range and only his new hat takes damage. Since he is bigger, Asahi crawls across the bridge and suggests they use the mummified body to go ahead of them from now on. This proves to be a good idea since the mummified body is able to take the damage from the next several traps and allow them to reach the top of the pyramid just as the sun is starting to set. When they reach the top, the crystal skull slips from Asahi's grasp, but Nishinoya is able to use his whip to grab it before it falls out of reach. He gets it back to Asahi and the former ace is able to reach the offering statue before it's too late.
Asahi and Nishinoya recant their tale for Daichi and Sugawara when they returned to Japan. As the two try to convince their friends the story is true, Tanaka and Kiyoko are watching a television program that announces Professor Dandy has donated a crystal skull to a museum.
