The Fukurodani Academy Group, from left to right: Nekoma, Fukurodani (top), Ubugawa (bottom), and Shinzen
The Fukurōdani Academy Group consists of four schools that regularly train together between tournaments. Each of the schools take turns hosting a week long training camp. The schools in the group are Fukurōdani Academy, Nekoma High, Shinzen High, and Ubugawa High. After renewing its rivalry with Nekoma, Karasuno High was invited to the last three training camps, although they are not technically part of the Fukurōdani Academy Group.
The training camps follow a schedule of practice matches with each team getting a chance to play the other four. After every game, the losing team must do a penalty such as flying falls or hill sprints, depending on where the training camp is being held. On top of the practice matches, the week long camp provides players the opportunity for individual practice. Players will generally use this time to practice with members of other teams, comparing techniques and giving tips even though they are opponents.
The training camp also gives an opportunity for teams to develop new strategies and learn techniques from the stronger teams. Karasuno decided to implement a synchronized attack into its repertoire after seeing Shinzen High use it so effectively during their practice matches, and it is now one of Karasuno's most effective weapons.
