Setters

orchestrate the offense of the team. They are the playmakers, point guards, or the quarterbacks of the volleyball team. A setter's responsibility is to run the team's offense and build up offensive scoring opportunities for the team. They play both front row and back row and therefore, they need to be able to block, serve, and play defense. They have to be able to operate with the hitters, manage the tempo of their side of the court, and choose the right attackers to set to. They need to have swift and skillful evaluation and tactical accuracy and must be quick enough to move around the court.
