"Chapter 7" is the seventh chapter of the Let's! Haikyū!? series, written and illustrated by Retsu.
Overview[]
The 3-on-3 match comes to an end.
Plot[]
Karasuno's Vice-Principal attempts to pop in the gym to view the game but encounters Tobio Kaiser and Tobio Falcon who promptly steal his toupee and chase him away from the gym.
While Spiking: Kageyama declares that he will send Hinata the sets he needs but he needs to not be looking while spiking. Hinata successfully hits the dead on set but Daichi soon points out that Hinata had been wearing a hot eye mask while spiking. Kageyama is quick to yell at Hinata for healing his eyes while in the middle of spiking.
A Scrapey Sound: Enjoying the sound that comes from scraping Tanaka's head, Hinata and Kageyama continue to rub their hands on Tanaka's head until he finally gets fed up and knocks them away.
Interruption: Tanaka proudly trash talks Tsukishima with Hinata adding his own comments from behind the second year. As Narita, Kinoshita, and Ennoshita start pointing out how Tanaka was only able to make the play because of the first years, Hinata also hides behind the three while adding his own comments although Tanaka isn't able to figure it out right away. He eventually does and makes the first year cease.
Image Diagram: The match has ended with Hinata and Kageyama emerging victorious. Tanaka approaches Daichi and asks if he was aware of the two first years being able to do an attack like they did all along. Daichi answers that he had originally expected one form on strength from them but got something even better. He does admit that he would like it if they were able to become even better than this; referencing using a Gundam fighter suit as an example.
Post-Game Handshake: Hinata throws himself at Tsukishima to get the after game handshake. Tsukishima quickly sends in his 'double' to take his place. With the volleyball wearing his glasses and headphones, Tsukishima is seemingly invisible to his fellow first years who instantly believe the ball to be the taller teen. The plan proves to backfire on him when Hinata and Yamaguchi start getting their finger prints all over his glasses.
Victory Jersey: Obtaining their new Karasuno jackets, Tanaka quickly shows the first years how to do a cool pose. He quickly gets carried away and strips which prompts Kiyoko to start hitting him with a broom. Despite the beating, Tanaka continues to try to teach them new poses.
The Captain's Past Few Days: During the early morning practices, Daichi sees how Tanaka is helping Hinata and Kageyama. During lunch breaks, Daichi had to hold himself back from wanting to practice with Hinata and Sugawara. As Hinata and Kageyama practiced after school, Daichi had to hold back the basketball captain who is determined to get the two onto his own team. In the present, Sugawara and Kiyoko thank Daichi for all his hard work.
