Overview[]
V.League players compete to see who has the brains to be named a first-class player, but the task proves to be tougher than expected.
Plot[]
Komi and Fukunaga team up to announce the start of their show staring Kageyama, Ushijima, Fukurō, and Hoshiumi of the Adlers, and Atsumu and Sakusa of the Jackals. Although it's stated that eight participants are present, Hinata and Bokuto are purposely edited out as they are deemed "Not fit for TV".
With the remaining six paired off, Komi and Fukunaga move things along. They announce that many of the categories not relating to volleyball have been answered correctly but Kageyama states that they actually just went with their gut since they didn't actually know the answers. Atsumu argues that he and Sakusa actually put thought into their answers but doesn't receive any support from his teammate. As Fukurō and Hoshiumi keep quiet that they doubted their guts on occasion, Komi asks the invisible Bokuto and Hinata how they managed to miss every question but the two are unable to give proper answers as they try to explain they gave proper thought in their answers. Although Bokuto is admired for his confidence in the answer he gave, several of the players blame Hinata for not stopping Bokuto; Atsumu and Hoshiumi silently and Kageyama loudly.
The two energetic players are told that they will be given their full appearances and appearance fees for the show so long as they don't miss anymore questions or else they'll be completely removed by order of Kuroo. The threat instantly causes the two to panic since their former teammates and family had promised to watch the show to support them.
With Hinata and Bokuto vowing to get their answers right, the category is moved to Taste. Kageyama and Ushijima are first to go and are given blindfolds to sample two different versions of the same dish and are told to tell which one is the higher-class dish. The first thing they are given is chocolate made by Tendō. Ushijima assures Kageyama that he will be able to tell which chocolate was made by Tendō as they are close friends. He gives his answer as A but is announced to have guessed wrong, annoying Tendō in the process.
Atsumu and Sakusa are blindfolded next as they will determine which onigiri is made by Osamu. Although upset they don't get to try sweets, Atsumu believes he right away knows which dish was made by Osamu. Just before he gives an answer, Atsumu suddenly hears his brother's thoughts through their twin connection. Osamu tells Atsumu the correct answer, which Atsumu already knew, but points out how "funny" Atsumu would make himself look if he got the answer wrong on something he should easily know.
Atsumu and Sakusa are then seen sitting in room labeled A along with Kageyama and Ushijima. When Fukurō and Hoshiumi are escorted to the room, the men all think they had answered correctly but Komi points out they had answered wrong; ignoring that Hinata and Bokuto were actually right. With the others having given wrong answers and being bumped down to second rate players, Komi warns that they will suffer the same fate as Hinata and Bokuto and the show will be canceled if they continue to answer incorrectly.
The next category is the Soft Serve. They explain how the serves will be performed by Komi and Oikawa who had traveled from Argentina to be part of the show. Oikawa proceeds to insult Kageyama and Atsumu when he mocks the serve rankings that place Kageyama in first and Atsumu in second. Oikawa then challenges the others on who will receive his serve question, but majority of the players are unwilling.
Unfortunately, this deems them all to not be fit for TV and Kuroo decides to scrap the show. Later, Natsu is on the phone with her brother asking why he has been replaced by Komi and Fukunaga performing a skit.
