"Daichi the Diplomat" (Japanese:
Overview[]
Officer Daichi is asked to break up a fight at a restaurant. Upon arriving, Daichi not only sees that he knows the people who are fighting but soon finds himself brought into it.
Plot[]
Sugawara is amused at how Daichi was the officer sent to give a lecture at his school. Daichi himself finds it hilarious but is still proud that he was able to speak to the younger generation. As the two continue to joke around, Daichi is suddenly approached by an elderly shop owner who asks for his assistance with people fighting in her restaurant.
Telling Sugawara to stand back in case of danger, Daichi hurries into the bar only see Madoka and Saeko trying to decide if Yachi or Kiyoko is cuter. Relieved that there isn't any real danger, Daichi asks what led to the two getting into this debate.
From behind him, Narita appears and explains that he saw the whole thing. He starts by saying that Saeko had bragged for three hours straight about how amazing Kiyoko is which resulted in Akiteru being worn out. Madoka had done something similar by talking to her co-worker about Yachi for three hours until he too passed out, leaving the women to start talking to each other.
Now realizing who the other is related to, Madoka and Saeko suddenly start getting along and complimenting Yachi and Kiyoko but still think their own family is the cuter one. Seeing how the ladies are continuing to consume alcohol and not wanting to back down, Daichi wonders if he should just leave and let them figure things out on their own but Sugawara insists that he needs to take care of the situation.
Daichi tries to assure the two that they're both right and that they shouldn't cause any trouble for the restaurant owner. Saeko and Madoka agree on not wanting to cause any trouble and decide to let Daichi be the one to settle the debate. Daichi tries not to get involved since he feels certain that he would be obliterated by either person no matter who he chose.
Saeko and Madoka start to present photos of Kiyoko and Yachi to help Daichi decide which girl is cuter. Saeko tries to win the debate by adding that Kiyoko is the one who grew to love Tanaka and even Narita adds that it was very touching. Madoka defends her daughter by saying how loyal she is to those around her. Seemingly out of nowhere, Kinoshita and Ennoshita appear and wonder who Daichi will pick.
Deciding that he can't do this alone, Daichi suggests they have everyone vote to decide who is the cuter girl, an idea that earns him cowardly comments from Kinoshita and Ennoshita. Saeko right away tries to bribe Kinoshita to vote for Kiyoko by promising to give him a photo of her sister-in-law while Madoka tries to get Narita to side with her by saying she can put in a good word for him to the CEO of his reality firm.
As Sugawara is confronting Daichi on whether or not this is a good idea and Daichi admitting that he's just stalling to buy time, Kiyoko and Yachi suddenly appear to collect their respective counterpart. Seeing each other, the two girls happily greet one another and their interactions cause Saeko and Madoka to make amends and admit both girls are beautiful.
Saeko and Madoka now team up and decide to talk about how lovely both girls are and try to drag the boys into drinking with them which Daichi instantly tries to get out of.
