Overview[]

Karasuno High wins the match against Aoba Johsai and will advance to final round of the qualifiers.

Plot[]

With the final point earned, Karasuno emerges victoriously in the match against Aoba Johsai.

As the players rush onto the court to celebrate, Takeda and Ukai compare this final play to the last rally in their game against Date Tech in which Kageyama thought that certain players would be most suited in getting past the block that was before them.

Daichi realizes that Oikawa was able to see where Hinata was planning on aiming his spike and tried to be in the position ready to receive it. Daichi acknowledges that if the ball hadn't hit the block, the outcome of the rally could have ended differently. After the teams shake hands, Oikawa warns Kageyama not to get ahead of himself as their score is 1-1.

When the Aoba Johsai players head back to their coaches, Coach Irihata tells his players that it's natural to have regrets during this situation but then proudly tells them that they played an amazing game. At these words, several of the players begin shedding tears.

As they head off the court, Iwaizumi scolds himself for not being a true ace in making his last spike count. In his state, he doesn't notice as Oikawa approaches him and firmly pats his back. Matsukawa and Hanamaki also pat Iwaizumi's back and the ace is able to collect himself before the team thanks their supporters.

After the gym is cleaned and the audience starts leaving, Oikawa runs into Ushijima in a hallway. Though he tries to ignore Ushijima, the Shiratorizawa captain does not allow Oikawa to leave until he hears him out. Ushijima chastises Oikawa for not joining Shiratorizawa as it would have given him more chances for victory and greater strength and his downfall was causes by his own pride.

Oikawa replies that there is no school that can guarantee victory then becomes stunned when Ushijima claims that the team he is on is the best. Oikawa states that he has never regretted joining Aoba Johsai and that his time playing volleyball is far from being over. He then states that Ushijima will be blindsided by his own pride and because he focused too much on Oikawa he will not see the flock of crows that may bring down the great white eagle.

Outside the gymnasium, Yachi spots Hinata and Kageyama with angry looks and sees they were looking at the flyer that was posted of the final match of the tournament being between Karasuno and Shiratorizawa.

As they leave the gym, Hinata vows to show Ushijima how strong Karasuno is.
