Yukigaoka Junior High (Japanese: 雪ケ丘 (ゆきがおか) 中学 (ちゅうがく) Yukigaoka Chūgaku) is a junior high school in the Miyagi Prefecture that Hinata had attended.

Uniform[]

Yukigaoka, like most Japanese schools, has a uniform and dress code. The male uniform consists of the classic black gakuran, white collared shirt, and black pants. Since some students have been seen with a sweater or hoodie under the gakuran or not wearing the gakuran at all, it's assumed that the dress code isn't enforced strictly.

The boys' volleyball club's uniform consists of a green jersey with the number in a darker green color.

Volleyball Club[]

In the beginning, Hinata was the only member of his school's volleyball team. The teacher had told him that over the years, the number of volleyball members dwindled and how the club was more like a fanclub than a proper one in which they would play volleyball. He had suggested for Hinata to either join another club with more members or even join the girls' volleyball club if he had really liked the sport, but Hinata declined.

However, in his third year, three first years joined the club. For his first–and last–junior high competition, Hinata got his two best friends to join the team so they would have enough members; Kōji was actually on the soccer team and Izumi was on the basketball team.
