"Fukurōdani’s Big Eater" (Japanese:
Overview[]
Yukie's reputation as a large eater comes back to haunt Fukurōdani when Yukie is approached by a mysterious group who wish for her to join them. If she refuses, Bokuto will be at the mercy of the group.
Plot[]
The members of Fukurōdani are enjoying a meal at a location Yukie has recommended. As she is praised for always picking locations with delicious food, Konoha and Komi are not surprised she knows great places since she is known at this particular location as the Food Fighter Queen.
Naturally, Bokuto becomes inspired to have his own portrait on the wall but is warned of what happened the last time he tried to out-eat Yukie. Hearing Bokuto's desire to become a large eater like herself, Yukie offers to train him and asks the restaurant to make them every dish they have in the largest size to start things off. Akaashi warns Bokuto not to go through with this since he feels certain that the next time a large photo of him will be seen will be at his funeral.
The next day at school, Yukie is searching for Bokuto when Akaashi notices she is carrying several items that look to be suited for means of torture. Yukie corrects him and explains that the items are to help Bokuto expand his stomach so he is able to eat more food but Akaashi sees no difference. Yukie adds that she will make sure that Bokuto only eats healthy food as she has been studying nutrition. As she resumes her search of the ace, the other members of Fukurōdani also take notice that Bokuto has been absent all day and also wonder where he is.
At this time, the group is suddenly approached by masked figures who announce that they are the ones who have Bokuto. As Konoha attempts to get security involved, the masked figures introduce themselves as The Ten Chopsticks although it's pointed out that there are only five people in the group who explain they each represent a pair of chopsticks.
Yukie reveals that she is aware of the group as they had previously attempted to recruit her to their group, but she turned them down. However, the group was unaware that her true reason for turning them down was because she was simply trying to enjoy her meal when they had first approached her. Undeterred, the group announces that they wish to try getting her to join as they wish to compete in the "Grillympics", a festival held for those with large appetites' and the Ten Chopsticks feel certain they could win if Yukie was on their team. When Konoha asks if the festival was similar to the Olympics in sporting events, the leader of the group corrects him by explaining it's a competition where people will attempt to eat hamburgers, sushi, yakiniku, soba, and ice cream, the five favorites of gluttons.
As Fukurōdani starts to request that Yukie should be left alone, the group leader shows on his phone that Bokuto is being held at a location and being made to eat ramen despite his protests that he cannot eat any more as a means of being trained to become a member of the Ten Chopsticks. However, the Chopsticks leader makes it clear that Bokuto joined them of his own free will and that he was not kidnapped by them.
As Akaashi feels bad for not being more firm of warning Bokuto not to run off with strangers, Yukie announces that she accepts the Ten Chopsticks challenge since she feels responsible for the current situation. Her first challenger, Atsumu Miya, approaches and introduces himself as Dual Wielder Miyamoto. While using two pairs of chopsticks, he declares that the first round will be of sushi. However, as the contest starts, Atsumu is shown to be rather slow at eating the sushi. His efforts prove to be futile when Yukie easily finishes all of her sushi almost instantly.
Her second challenger steps forward while announcing the next challenge will involve soba. He removes his mask to reveal himself to be an older version of Atsumu and calling himself Triple Wielder Miyamoto. Unfortunately, he does no better than his younger version and partially blames the use of the third pair of chopsticks that he explains the Americans thought was funny. Yukie again wins and is witnessed to not even be using chopsticks as she eats, instead just being fed her food directly from the bowl.
Upset at his subordinate's performances, the group leader is next in the challenge. Introducing himself as One Bite Sugar Cutter, he explains that he is a food enthusiast who prefers vegetables over sugary foods. At this point, Konoha points out that two members of the Chopsticks are missing. One Bite explains that the other two members are out of the contest because one ruined his liver and the other obtained high cholesterol. When One Bite is asked why he is covered in bandages, he explains that it resulted from burning his tongue from eating hot food as soon as it was done cooking since he feels that this is when food tastes its best and continued to eat his food like this despite the pain it brought.
Yukie argues that eating should be enjoyable and not something that should bring pain. As she finishes her speech, she has finished her latest dish before One Bite could even start. The Chopsticks finally accept that they are no match for Yukie who credits her new knowledge of nutrition being helpful in the contest before asking if she can have the leftover yakiniku and ice cream.
The next day, Bokuto is returned to the team but is shown to have gained a great amount of weight. He was able to lose the weight and get back in shape thanks to Yukie's nutrition knowledge and Suzumeda putting him through brutal Spartan like training. The ace did have a picture of himself posted in the newspaper and seemed happy about this.
