"Fukurōdani Girls Diet Plan" (Japanese:
Overview[]
In an attempt to lose weight, Suzumeda tries a variety of exercise and diet methods but soon discovers one method in particular may be the right one.
Plot[]
At a local café, Yukie is enjoying a sweet dessert when Suzumeda questions if her fellow manager has been eating too much lately. Yukie comments that she's simply treating herself, but Suzumeda warns her that, since she does this so often, she may put on a few pounds. Remembering that their measurements were recently taken, Suzumeda looks over Yukie's report and is shocked to see that Yukie actually weighs less than she does.
During the next practice, Suzumeda attempts to join in being a ball boy but the boys are concerned about her safety in this and how she seems to be wanting to be involved in things even more than usual. As Akaashi tries to prevent Suzumeda from overworking herself, he quickly puts together that Suzumeda is wanting to move around more, measurements have recently been taken, and that extra movement can help with weight loss. Having figured out her ulterior motives, he casually passes it off as her just wanting to be more helpful. However, Bokuto isn't as careful and bluntly asks if Suzumeda is wanting to lose any unwanted weight, resulting in receiving a powerful right hook to the temple.
Akaashi quickly scolds Bokuto for the situation even though Konoha says that Suzumeda is the one at fault. As Bokuto appears amnesiac, Suzumeda is embarrassed that Bokuto was able to pinpoint exactly what is bothering her but is still determined to stay with extra practices.
During lunch, Yukie notices that Suzumeda has been eating smaller meals recently. Suzumeda continues to be bothered that she has not lost any weight despite cutting down her calorie intake and that she has been working out as much as the volleyball players. As she tries to figure out Yukie's secret to not gaining any weight despite how much she eats, Suzumeda watches as Yukie suddenly spots Bokuto and demands the return of her borrowed notes. When Bokuto claims that he forgot the notes, he suffers Yukie's wrath and provides the answer that Suzumeda was looking for, being that Yukie stays in shape from chasing down and beating up Bokuto for his forgetful nature. With the secret revealed, Suzumeda decides to try this new method.
Later, Komi comments how Bokuto didn't take notes in class again. Bokuto mentions that he can borrow notes from Yukie but Konoha and Komi mention that Yukie may not let him since he has yet to return any of her notes so far. Suzumeda suddenly appears and offers to lend Bokuto her own notes. Joyful, Bokuto happily accepts and promises that he will return her notebook when he's done. However, Konoha suspects that Suzumeda is up to something even though she says that she's doing this simply to help out the ace but is, in fact, waiting for him to forget so she can hunt him down.
Unfortunately, for the next several days, Bokuto returns several borrowed notes for different classes on time. As he is returning notes on the fourth day, Suzumeda suddenly snaps and begins choking the ace while scolding him that he should have forgotten to return her notes. When Suzumeda mentions how she needs to beat up Bokuto, Akaashi again figures out that Suzumeda is on the 'Bokuto Diet' since this would provide her with the exercise she needs to lose weight. However, because of the right hook she had landed on the ace, Akaashi suspects that Bokuto is afraid of angering Suzumeda which is the reason he has not forgotten to return her notes.
At the same time, Bokuto suddenly thinks he has figured out why Suzumeda wants to beat him up and asks if she has taken up boxing, thinking this explains why her punch was so powerful, she has stayed for extra practices, and has increased her weight. His last comment earns him a scolding from Akaashi that he should never mention a woman's weight. Unfortunately, Bokuto remains oblivious and states that he likes girls who have a little extra weight. This causes Suzumeda to prepare for another punch as Akaashi warns the ace to run.
At Nekoma High, Kenma has found a beaten and amnesiac Bokuto. Kuroo simply says that Bokuto should be returned to his own school.
