Fumi's only appearance is during the Nekoma vs Karasuno match. When Kenma forced the Karasuno players to block his set, she explained what tactic to fellow Nekoma students who were unfamiliar with the method.

Although her abilities are never shown, she does have insight of the game and tactics used as she right away recognized Kenma using a false setter dump to get the blockers to stop the ball when he changed to a set at the last second.
