Plot[]
Karasuno High Team Formation Arc[]
Takahashi makes his debut appearance when Karasuno and Nekoma High reunite for the first time in several years to play against one another. He meets with Shimada and Takinoue before the match starts. When the match started, Takahashi shared in many others shock when Hinata and Kageyama performed their super quick.
Spring High Preliminary Arc[]
Takahashi is present to watch the match between Karasuno and Kakugawa High. Like many others, he was overwhelmed at seeing how big Hyakuzawa is and how it allowed him to both spike over blocks and stop a feint attack by Hinata. However, he would hear from Ikkei how height can be an advantage when used correctly, but that it is not the only way victory can be achieved, as there are ways to get around it.
He and Ikkei were soon joined by Mikako Hoshino, who right away felt that Karasuno might not do too well against Hyakuzawa. Takahashi tried to steer her from these thoughts by stating Hyakuzawa wouldn't be a problem for Hinata, only to almost right away be proven otherwise when Hyakuzawa beat Hinata in a joust. It would not be long after this that he would notice Karasuno change their defensive positions in order to be able to receive Hyakuzawa's cross shots. Seeing this and Hinata get a point when he used his side jump, Takahashi felt certain that Karasuno now had a way to combat Hyakuzawa's height. He continued watching until Karasuno eventually won the match.
