"Team Karasuno, Full Speed Ahead" (Japanese: チーム烏野、始動 Chīmu Karasuno, Shidō) is the twenty-fourth chapter of the Haikyū!! series, written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate. It was published in the 36th-37th double issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump’s 2012 series.

Overview

The match concludes with the Neighborhood Association's win. Nishinoya and Asahi return to the team. Karasuno goes to the training camp. Nekoma arrives in Miyagi.

Plot

Ukai asks Takeda if Kageyama and Hinata went to the same middle school or are childhood friends, but Takeda replies that those two only met each other recently; Ukai finds that odd.

Shimada scores with four jump float serves that throw the Karasuno members off. However, Daichi successfully receives the fifth one and sends it to Tanaka. Nishinoya receives Tanaka’s spike and Sugawara tosses the ball to Asahi who blasts it past Hinata. The match ends with the Neighborhood Association’s win (2:0 25-16, 25-18).

On the side, Ukai explains to Takeda that he has trouble choosing between Kageyama and Sugawara as the official setter. He never realized it back when he was a player on the "being chosen" side, but the ones doing the "choosing" have all sorts of things to be worried about.

Hinata approaches Asahi and tells him that he will become the strongest decoy and create a pathway in front of the ace. As he tries to explain further, he becomes flustered and doesn't know what to say. Asahi interrupts, telling him that nickname and position don't matter; the coolest player is the one the opponents fear the most. Asahi encourages Hinata to not belittle himself.

Daichi praises Sugawara on his comeback, and Nishinoya and Asahi on their returns to the team. The Karasuno members huddle together before cleaning up.

For the next week, Karasuno prepares for the training camp.

May 3rd, Nekoma arrives in Miyagi by train.
