Tokyo Nationals Arc[]
Karasuno vs Kamomedai[]
When Karasuno is about to play against Kamomedai High, the two boys are passing by the Takinoue Appliance store when they see the match live on television.[1] They stop to watch and wonder if they will see Hinata in the stands but are shocked to see Hinata being highlighted by the announcers along with Hoshiumi as two star players observers will keep their eyes on, making them realize that Hinata was telling the truth about being part of the team. They are further shocked when they see Hinata perform his famous quick attack.
When Tanaka is able to score a point when Suwa is unable to receive, the boys admit to always avoid direct eye contact with Tanaka as they find the second-year very intimidating. Shortly after, Kageyama is being highlighted by the announcers, the two teens show some envy when they realize the setter is a talented athlete on top of being tall and attractive but hope he at least has a terrible sense of fashion. When Asahi lands a spike that ties the score 12-12, the teens are surprised to learn he's a third-year as they had thought he was a teacher and treated him as such. As Hinata starts becoming more problematic to the opposing blockers in the second set, both teens cheer him on. As the match continues, they become quite invested in the game to the point where they start pleading for Tsukishima to figure out a way to counter Kamomedai.
