Overview[]
The training camps come to an end. With newfound knowledge and skills, the players prepare to return to their respective teams.
Plot[]
On the final day of the training camp, Kageyama and the rest are immersed in a match with switched positions. The players prove their versatility on all fronts as they excel in areas outside of their usual. The coaches are extremely pleased and discusses among themselves the importance of enjoying the sport.
Afterwards, Atsumu approaches Kageyama and informs the latter that he is more suited to be a spiker than a setter. When Kageyama inquires what Atsumu meant by calling him a "goody-two-shoes" the other day, Atsumu replies that Kageyama is someone who is diligent, honest, and obedient. At the end of the day, the coach gives a goodbye speech, and the players say their farewells before heading their own ways.
Meanwhile at Shiratorizawa, Kindaichi asks Hinata about how Kageyama is doing after noticing Kageyama’s drastic change in play style. Realizing that Kindaichi is still fixated on the middle school incident, Hinata asserts that there’s nothing wrong with being at each other’s throats and "holding your ground;" therefore, Kageyama is doing well. The two groups soon part and make their way back home. At this time, the coaches are conversing about the camp at a pub. When the topic of Hinata comes up, Washijō acknowledges that "insatiable hunger" short-statured players experience against superior physical height.
The next morning, the oddball combination finally reunites!
