"Hunger: Part 2" (Japanese:
Overview[]
The match heats up as the Jackals and Adlers elevate the game to the next level. At set 3 set point, neither team is willing to give an inch to the others. Ultimately, Hinata's hunger for improvements allows him to pull off an impressive feat to clinch the victory for his team.
Plot[]
Ushijima's spike shrinks the score gap to one, but the Jackals are still at set point. Inunaki receives Sokolov's serve while Hinata slows down his tempo to joins his teammates on the offence. Atsumu sets to Sakusa from the back row. Ushijima makes a save, but the ball ricochets out-of-bounds. Romero chases after it and manages to kick it back to his teammates. He aggressively calls out for others to follow up in Portuguese. Despite not knowing the language, everybody immediately understood Romero's intention. Hoshiumi spikes the ball back, and Hinata receives it. Atsumu tosses to a fired-up Bokuto, who hits a cross to bypass a double block. Romero once again saves the ball, allowing Kageyama to toss to Ushijima. Ushijima comes face-to-face with Bokuto and tools the block with a powerful hit. Atsumu dives to keep the ball in play. He calls out to Hinata for an emergency set as he crashes into the sidelines.
While Hinata prepares to set, his teammates all mobilize to spike. Kageyama is cautious of a possible dump, but Hinata surprises everyone by transitioning into a left-handed spike on the second touch and wins the third set for his team. Those who are familiar with Hinata recognize that his last feat is the result of his hard work and an insatiable hunger for volleyball.
The fourth set gets underway. Atsumu has no interest in being consoled for average performance and seeks out decisive plays that will generate either cheers or jeers. He executes an untouched service ace and is greeted with applause from fans and teammates. The match heats up as the players take their game to the next level. Everyone is relishing the moment but the match is gradually approaching its end.
