"Inarizaki's Spring Clean" (Japanese:
Overview[]
Kita decides it's time for Inarizaki to do some spring cleaning. Throughout the process, his teammates are shown to have accumulated strange and bizarre items.
Plot[]
Inside Inarizaki's locker room, Kita announces that it's time for the team to do some spring cleaning. Aran asks why they should do a full-scale cleaning since there is still some time before they graduate. Kita explains that it will be easier for them to keep things tidy as time goes on as the twins claim that they already keep things so clean that they never leave even a speck of dust behind.
Kita continues to get started and opens a locker where slime falls out of. When he turns to the team to see who did this, Osamu and Atsumu right away point fingers at each other. Osamu soon admits that he was the one using the locker without anyone knowing but says that he wasn't the one who made the slime. However, he does remember that he did put in bread, milk, mochi, and snacks in the locker around New Year's.
Kita opens another locker and finds it stuffed with losing tickets, sweets, and toys. Atsumu admits that he was the one who left them there, stating that he had been forced to buy the items during a bet but Osamu also contributed to some of the mess. As some of the boys start to become nostalgic at seeing some of the items, Kita begins throwing things into garbage bags while reminding them of their team motto of not needing to hold onto memories.
After finding one of Atsumu's trophies in another locker, Kita suddenly presents a Hero's Shield. As Kita tries to throw the item away, the others tell him not to since it might be needed for an important hero quest. The next item Kita pulls out is a pair of boxers styled like the American flag. Everyone right away turns to Aran who claims the boxers do not belong to him. Kita takes this as a sign to throw the underwear away and next presents a pile of coupons for restaurants, buses, movies, clothes, and other items when he suddenly pulls out Yggdrasil's Holy Sword. Kita begins to prepare the sword for disposal by properly wrapping it in newspapers and labeling it as a sharp object as Aran tries to talk him out of throwing it away since a hero might need it.
Kita does a quick online search and finds that someone named King of Darkness is willing to purchase the sword for one million yen. Again, his teammates try to convince him that they should keep the sword and the shield. Coming to the next locker, Kita finds numerous textbooks with some stating to belong to the twins. The captain then presents magazines with attractive women that Atsumu and Osamu right away declare belong to Aran.
Aran tries to deny the magazines belong to him, but no one seems to believe him. As Ginjima gets everyone to start helping Kita clean, Kita begins instructing them how to properly sort the trash to be recycled when he finds a sealed jar covered in ropes and a magical seal charm. Despite the obvious warnings, Kita opens the jar.
A spirit with the appearance of a spray can appears and declares he will make the world impure. Upset that the spirit wants to undo all of his cleaning, Kita dons the Hero's Shield and Yggdrasil Sword. He easily punctures a whole in the spray can and defeats the evil being.
Thanks to the shield protecting him, Kita is the only one unscathed by the evil spirit's mess. Later on, Kita announces that the sword and shield were purchased by an online buyer named Hero-sama. The twins conclude that the real hero meant to use the weapons used the easy way to locate them.
