Appearance[]
He has brown hair spiked upwards, and similarly-colored eyes. He has a thin but muscular body. Although he is slightly taller than average, he is one of the shorter players on the team.
Personality[]
Asamushi is a friendly individual but tends to show annoyance when he hears how the team is starting to be known as the team with the 2-meter first-year. Despite this, Asamushi is still a hardworking person and is on good terms with his team.
Plot[]
Spring High Preliminary Arc[]
Shortly before the match begins, Asamushi tells the team to be wary of Kageyama and Asahi's serves but also to focus on score back at them twice if they fail to get them. After Hyakuzawa demonstrates his sheer power, Asamushi overhears some spectators deeming Kakugawa a one-man team. This provokes Asamushi and he angrily glares at them, but Minamida tells him to brush it off, which confuses Asamushi.
In that rally, Minamida poorly bumps the ball. Despite this, Asamushi is still satisfied with it as he can still set it to Hyakuzawa well enough. In fact, his emergency set grabs Ikkei Ukai's attention. After a short talk from Komaki and Minamida telling Asamushi to be proud of their tall rookie, Asamushi admits that he still finds Hinata's height slightly unfair.
As Hyakuzawa fails his serve, Asamushi tells him to brush it off. Sometime later, Asamushi bumps a harsh cross-shot from Tanaka and cheers loudly when doing so.
