Karasuno vs Shinzen was a practice match held between the two schools during the first part of the Summer Training Camp. The match ended in Karasuno's victory.

Kageyama and Hinata use their super quick attack which Yoshikawa attempts and fails to block. Komi, Onaga, and Konoha from Fukurōdani are seen commenting on how fast the quick is.
Kageyama serves and Akatani receives it, but the receive isn't clean. Bokuto then comments that Kageyama has a powerful serve. Eikichi spikes, but Hinata manages to get a one-touch.
He then runs up for another quick, while Eikichi follows him. Eikichi manages to catch up to Hinata, but the quick is too fast that he's barely able to touch it, and it scores, ending the set 25-21.
