Plot

Tsukishima unexpectedly invites Hinata to blocking practice. Hinata is ecstatic and joins in the mix. Meanwhile, the coaches, Anabara and Saitō, are dining together and discussing the subtle changes happening within Washijō after Shiratorizawa's loss to Karasuno. Back at the training camp, Hinata successfully spikes past Tsukishima's block. Some of the players are surprised to find someone of a small stature to be capable at spiking, but those who knew Hinata only become more fired up. Kindaichi and Koganegawa join Tsukishima in blocking and go up against Goshiki. Goshiki utilizes his approach run to deceive the three blockers into thinking he's going for a cross before hitting a sharp straight. Later, Hinata questions whether Tsukishima is looking out for him by asking him to join practice only to be bluntly denied. In reality, Tsukishima is aware of Hinata's ability to see blockers clearly and wants to utilize this chance to improve himself.

On Kageyama's side, he is struggling with the conflicting notion of being labelled a tyrannical king as well as a goody two-shoes. Atsumu Miya's words have struck a nerve for Kageyama, causing him to wear a tense expression on his face. Meanwhile at Karasuno, Takeda manages to schedule a practice match with Date Tech once all of the Karasuno members have reunited!
