Appearance[]
Yonezawa is a young girl of short height and thin build. She has short brown hair styled in a bowl-cut almost identical to that of Goshiki. She is usually seen with a large smile.
Personality[]
Yonezawa appears to be an outgoing and friendly person. She can often be seen trying to help Kanoka to have more confidence in herself concerning her love life.
Plot[]
Yonezawa makes her first appearance on the first day of the Spring Tournament. After Kanoka greeted Tanaka outside their hotels, Yonezawa asks about "Ryu-chan" and playfully teases Kanoka about her fondness for him. The next day, Yonezawa encourages Kanoka to follow her feelings and continue her pursuit of Tanaka. Once she sees Tanaka looking for Kanoka, Yonezawa immediately flees the scene to leave the two alone.
Later, she is seen watching the match between Karasuno and Inarizaki alongside Kanoka. At one point, she is seen overhearing and laughing with other spectators when Tanaka's lively personality stands out during the first set. When Tanaka is able to win the first set for Karasuno with a cross shot, she listens as Kanoka admits she may have a broken heart.

- Kanoka Amanai: Yonezawa appears to be a close friend of Kanoka. Kanoka seems to have confided in Yonezawa about her feelings for Tanaka. In turn, Yonezawa acts as a supportive friend giving advice to Kanoka about their relationship.
Trivia[]
- It's possible she is a backup libero as she is shorter than most players but her position has not been revealed in the manga nor the anime.
- Her first name is pronounced the same way as Yūshi Maiko's surname but they are not the same in writing because they only share the second kanji.
