Thanks for all your edits to the chapters and character pages! They are super helpful.
Just letting you know, please use "Yamaguchi" instead of "Tadashi" on this wiki. We try to go by the most commonly used name in the series for the main characters. For minor characters, we tend to go by their last name unless they are more known by their first name. So for Motoya Komori, please use "Komori."
Ah I see. I didn't watch the dub version, but I get it now. Most of the pages refer to him as Yamaguchi, so we let's keep it consistent across the wiki.
Do you have some examples of the odd tags you mentioned? I might not have noticed them.
I noticed that you deleted the "<! S1 Episode 2 >" that I added in in the screenshots tab of image galleries. They don't do anything to the appearance of the page and only serve as references in the code so you can keep track of where the images should be placed. And generally makes the page more organized instead of having random screenshots all over the place and making no sense? So why did you delete all the code?
Hey Jin! I hope you don't mind me cutting in here.
I don't think MysticFantasy08 deleted your code on purpose. I did a quick test (without actually publishing) and found that if you use the gallery UI button to add a new image, your code automatically gets erased. It seems like the only way to avoid this if we add images through code only.
No worries! By the way, here's a clarification about the previous episode deletion issue. Because I gave the temporary ban, the message system here was acting wonky so we had to continue on the Community Fandom. Sorry about that, I should have let you know earlier.
I think I'm going to remove that thread from MysticFantasy08's message wall to prevent further misunderstanding. Thank you!
The desired format is as followed. This will result in a link Kuroo.
Also, it's not necessary to type out the full name to link. Usually, we refer to the character by their most common title when writing overviews/plot summaries. For example, Kenma and Daichi would be referred to by their first name while Oikawa and Iwaizumi would be by their last. On the occasion that you need to link the full name, the formatting below would suffice.
i just wanted to double check about the changes i had done to reon and jin from shiratorizawa. i know that it says that jin is the vice captain but i found in ch 162 that it says reon is the vice captain. i just wanted to be sure.
Thanks for pointing this out! I missed the part in Chapter 162. At the moment, it looks like both Jin Soekawa and Reon Ohira have been confirmed to be vice captains. We list them both as vice captains then.
I will bring back your changes to the Reon Ohira page. Sorry about that and thank you correcting me!
I reverted a change you made to Lev Haiba's page regarding this statement, "Thus far, he is the second tallest high school volleyball player in the series." I remember I had to revert this once before, so I would like to explain my reasoning. I don't know if you are up-to-date with the most recent manga chapters not, but Lev is now the third tallest after the introduction of a new character. However, Lev still is the second tallest in the anime. That's why instead of "series", I would like to use "anime" to make sure the statement is accurate. Please let me know if you have any question about this.
i actually looked at that right after that when i read the chapter of karasuno going against the current team and remembered that taller player (forgot his name lol) no worries though cause honestly half of the time idk if the wiki page follows anime or manga more and not sure which facts are more accurate to use. i kinda see a mix on a lot of things and therefore not add things i've found just because i'm not sure if it would be accurate or not. one of them relating to a statement kageyama made toward hinata in the anime but was not in the manga despite similar statements.
Thank you for your understanding! This wiki follows both anime and manga, but we try to point it out if a statement is anime specific. I realize that not everything is super consistent since there have been so many edits over the year. I personally try to keep the most recent edits up to standards and plan to rework the older information as we go.
Also, I would like to thank you again for adding those character images from the anime! It's a great help! :D
I'm one of the admin for this wiki, and I want to thank you for adding those images various character pages. Many of our image gallery pages need to be improved upon, so we super grateful for your contribution! However, the images need to be sourced, licensed, and categorized for organizational purposes. Please take a look at this one as an example.
You can access the image page either through Explore -> Images or if you are on a character page, simply clicking the name of the image in the popup will get you there. Then copy the existing code in edit mode and modify it to match your image. Let me know if you need help with anything. Thanks again!
Hello, I'm the bureaucrat for this wiki. In the Haikyuu!! Wiki:Guidelines there is a short guide on how to add the licensing tags. Specifically here: Media Policy. I'll briefly describe how to do this.
First, by going to the wiki image page you can edit the picture and add the tags. You need to add the source of the image as well. For example, add what season and episode the image is from for anime screenshots or the manga volume or chapter if the image is from the manga.
The coding for this image specifically looks like this:
*'''Source:''' Anime Season 1, Episode 12
