"Miya's name" (Japanese: 宮の名は Miya no Na wa) is the fourteenth chapter of the Haikyū-bu!! series, written and illustrated by Kyōhei Miyajima and was first released on August 26, 2019 on Shōnen Jump+.
Overview[]
Chaos ensues when Atsumu and Osamu suddenly switch bodies. Things become more interesting when Aran is suddenly added into the mix.
Plot[]
Atsumu and Osamu complain about how everyone mistakes them for the other twin and claim that it's very easy to tell them apart. Suna argues that it actually is easy to confuse the twins. Atsumu and Osamu point out ways to tell them apart, with both not liking the trait pointed out. When the twins begin to argue over ways to tell each other apart, Suna and Ginjima watch in horror as the two suddenly fall down a flight of stairs.
The brothers appear fine but everyone becomes confused when they claim that they are suddenly in the wrong body. At practice, it's explained that Atsumu is now in Osamu's body and Osamu is in Atsumu's body. As they try to figure out how to fix the situation, Suna gives a simple suggestion of the twins just changing how they have their hair parted since this is really the only difference. Aran argues that this isn't a simple fix as the twins carry out Suna's suggestion. Even though they admit they would like to get back to their original bodies, the brothers admit that Suna is right in that nothing else has really changed. Hearing that the Miya's are fine with the situation, Kita gets practice back on track.
During one play, Ōmimi calls for Atsumu to send the ball to him. However, Atsumu and Osamu both react to this and collide into each other. Eventually, the two brothers begin to comment how the body they're in feels off and the original owner must not be doing their training properly. Naturally, the two begin to scuffle again until Aran throws himself into the situation in an attempt to stop them; resulting in all three being tossed outside the gym.
When everything settles, another switch has happened. While Osamu is still in Atsumu's body, Atsumu is now in Aran's body and Aran is in Osamu's body. Atsumu quickly becomes upset at no longer being a Miya and fearful of the stereotypical American foods that Aran's family must eat and is concerned about his health. Suna tries to get Aran to defend himself, but the ace has suddenly become infatuated with the thought of being in a body that is attractive enough to have been in a magazine and decides there is no need to rush back to his own body. With Atsumu becoming more upset, Kita decides they need to fix things and get everyone back to normal. He suggests those who are switched collide their heads but the three are against this idea for fear of further harm.
Aran, Atsumu, and Osamu attempt to run away but find the weight or balance of the body they are in work against them. In the chaos, the three fall outside again. As Kita and the others check on them, they find that Osamu has returned to his own body. He quickly wakes Atsumu and Aran with the joyful news, but the celebration quickly ends when they suddenly spot a third Miya among them that is eerily transparent.
A quick confirmation proves that Aran is now in Atsumu's body while Aran's body is revealed to be in a twisted form. Atsumu's soul begins to ascend toward the heavens as Osamu and Aran try to get him back into Aran's body and Kita commenting how his method would have been safer.
The twins are later able to get back to their original bodies, but Kita points out that now no one will be able to tell them apart because of their heavy bandaging that was a result of the two having fallen down the stairs numerous times to fix things.
