Overview[]
In need of money for a new megaphone, Akane learns from Kenma that she can earn money from video uploads. Needing interesting content, Akane turns to her older brother for entertainment.
Plot[]
While walking together, Akane asks Kenma how he has plenty of money to get new games even though he doesn't have a job. When Akane explains that her current megaphone isn't lasting too well and would like to replace it, Kenma tells her that he does some game streaming that he uploads and earns some revenue. He tells her that she can do the same and get some money if she gets enough views with any kind of interesting video footage. With this information, Akane turns to her brother and asks if she can spend a day recording him.
Yamamoto right away refuses to comply with Akane's request, claiming that it would be an invasion of his privacy and that he feels certain that Akane would make him look like a clown. Akane appears like she is going to accept his answer but states that if she was able to film him while playing volleyball then it would be possible one or numerous girls around the world would see it and fall in love with him. Predictably, Yamamoto instantly changes his attitude and begins laying ground rules for Akane when she is recording.
Later, Akane is present while the Nekoma team is having their practice and Kenma quickly guesses what she's up to. Thinking that her brother will be his natural goofy self, she sees him scolding Lev for a failed block. Remembering that Akane is going to be filming him, Yamamoto decides to try to make a good impression and starts being much nicer to Lev, confusing the tall middle blocker with the sudden change and catching the inquiry of Kuroo and Yaku. Akane and Kenma know that Yamamoto is putting on a show, but Akane quickly becomes distracted when she watches Yaku make a perfect receive of Kuroo's serve.
While she was watching Yaku, she suddenly hears Lev's concern for her brother and hears that he accidentally got hit in the face when trying to block. Thinking that Akane had recorded the accident, Yamamoto asks her not to show it but is shocked to hear her ask that he repeat his actions. Yamamoto tries to deny her request several times but eventually gives in. Unfortunately, Akane becomes distracted again when she watches Lev use his height to get past a block. Impressed that Lev's contact point has gotten even higher since she last saw it, Akane misses when Yamamoto purposely gets hit and draws the concern of his upperclassmen who think he is doing all of this on purpose. He asks Akane if she was able to record the moment only to hear her say that Lev is getting better with each day while he stays the same.
Upset at her behavior, Yamamoto begins to refuse any more requests that she may have. When Kenma asks if she has managed to get anything, she answers that timing has caused her to miss a few opportune moments. Kenma thinks that she might not be able to get anything too great since he points out that Yamamoto is actually fairly serious when he's playing volleyball.
Akane begins recording the next rally and realizes that Kenma is indeed correct in his claim that Yamamoto isn't his usual silly self when he's playing. At the end of the rally, Yamamoto focuses himself on Akane's recording and introduces himself as being the ace of the Nekoma team and that he's currently looking for a girlfriend.
Some time later, Akane reveals that she made a video looping Yamamoto's self-introduction. Although Kenma and Fukunaga think the video is funny and it became popular around Nekoma for some time, Yamamoto thinks otherwise.
