After the third-years retired from the club, Rinko was appointed the next team captain.
Appearance[]
She has short, dark hair that ends just below her ears, blue eyes, and small, thin eyebrows. Rinko has a tall but thin build.
Personality[]
Not much is known about Rinko's personality, but she seems to be quiet and reserved. She's also quite ambitious, as seen when she announces the team's new goal to reach for the top eight in the Spring High Tournament when she becomes captain.
Plot[]
Interhigh Arc[]
During the match against Shirato in the anime, Rinko was shown to be good at volleyball, moving from her position to make a bump set to Michimiya. However, it quickly becomes evident early on that she and the other girls are struggling to stay motivated through the match as their plays cost them points through failed receives and spikes. Even with Michimiya trying to keep everyone in high spirits and playing at their best, the Karasuno girls' team eventually loses the match and are taken out of the tournament.
Rinko accompanied the team to watch the boys' team play against Date Tech.
After the summer training camp, Rinko is shown to have been appointed as the next team captain. She attempts to take things more seriously for the team and announces that she intends to have them reach the top eight in the next tournament with the added motivation for the girls to not be outdone by the boys' team.[1]
