He is the former captain of the Johzenji High boys' volleyball club.
Appearance[]
Okudake appears to be around the same height as Terushima. He has short, dark hair and has a reassuring presence. He is most often seen wearing the uniform for either the volleyball team or for school.
Personality[]
Similar to Daichi, Okudake is calm and levelheaded. While he encourages high spirits, he also tried to help his younger teammates realize they sometimes have to take things seriously in order to have a better outcome.
Background[]
He is a third-year student at Johzenji High and was the captain of the boys' volleyball team before retiring after the Interhigh.
Plot[]
Okudake mainly appears in flashbacks when Terushima and the team were struggling with how to counter Karasuno's attacks. He first appears when telling Terushima that situations will arise when he will not have fun. He questions how he would handle things when it happens and hears Terushima answer that he would still have fun regardless.
He later appeared in one of Misaki's flashbacks when he asked what she planned to do regarding staying on the team as the manager. Because Misaki hasn't found someone to become the new manager, she decided to stay until the Spring Tournament but voices her concern about the boy's never listening to her and their emotional status during games. He encourages her to give them a kick in the pants to get them in line and focus.

- Hana Misaki: Okudake appears to have had a good friendship with Misaki as he is seen giving her advice of how she can help the team become more focused.
- Yūji Terushima: He seems to have been close with Terushima whom he tried to help understand that not all situations will be fun and exciting but left a good impression with his junior as a solid foundation.
- Johzenji High: Okudake was seen being a stable and helpful captain to the team. He would offer different pieces of advice to the players on how they can improve their play or how to get around their opponents.
