"Studying With Inarizaki" (Japanese:
Overview[]
The Inarizaki volleyball team attempt to get some studying done in preparation for entrance exams. However, this proves much harder than believed.
Plot[]
Walking down the hallway, Atsumu remarks how he would rather study for a test at home than at school. Naturally, Osamu mocks his twin by pointing out how he is always goofing off instead of doing what he needs to. As the second-years enter the library, they notice that the third-years are present as well.
Kita explains that he is not studying for entrance exams since he is going straight into Agriculture after graduating and is instead helping Ōmimi and Akagi prepare for their exams. Atsumu and Osamu comment how the two third-years have picked a strict tutor who will surely use them for compost should they fail. Kita is not bothered by their teasing but instead warns them to remain quiet in the library so that they do not disturb others.
The four second-years find a table but don't exactly get to studying right away as Atsumu decides to read manga instead. Revealing that the manga is Dr. Stone, he says that it will help him better understand Chemistry. His theory is right away ridiculed by Suna who says that it would not be possible to learn anything from manga. As they continue to argue, Ginjima notices that Kita is staring at them in the same manner that Atsumu had to the fans who had disturbed his serve at nationals. The captain warns the twin's not to bother others who are studying, and the Miyas quickly apologize.
Deciding to get serious, Suna decides to work on Math, Atsumu on English, and Osamu on History. However, just like Atsumu, Osamu tries to gain knowledge on the topic by reading a manga that is said to have information relating to China's history. The question is brought up of how much of the manga would be on their test and Osamu answers that there is a possibility that he could learn from the manga and a similar question could be on the test. Their continued argument once more brings Kita's wrath when the captain glares at the younger teens again.
Kita turns to Akagi and questions if he is hoping to become a Physical Education teacher. When Akagi confirms this, Kita asks if he knows acupuncture points that could render the second-years immobile. Akagi is quick to answer that this knowledge is not something that a PE teacher would need to know. Kita decides to study medical books in search of medicine that could possibly silence the second-years. From seeing Kita reading such a large book, Atsumu comes to realize that if they disturb him one more time, they will surely get the worst scolding of all.
Finally deciding to get serious, the four quickly try to figure out which subjects to work on when Atsumu declares that he will instead read a book that holds the questions and answers to all past exams in their region. Atsumu and Osamu decide to have Suna study the book since he is not from Kansai and think it would be humorous if he tried to answer the questions. However, the questions that the middle blocker reads come across as confusing and Suna does not see how they are of any help.
As Suna is starting to become frustrated at the following questions and answers, Akagi is finally pushed to the limit and attacks Atsumu with his study books while scolding him for disturbing them so much. The third- and second-years start arguing and attracting a crowd until Kita steps forward and ends the fight before it can escalate.
Later during the exams, Suna is shocked to see that some of the questions he had seen from Atsumu's book are on the test. After the exams, Aran asks Ōmimi and Akagi how they did on their tests. He is soon confused to hear Akagi state that he studied a bit on acupuncture techniques.
