Plot[]
Tokyo Nationals Arc[]
When Bokuto announces the whole stadium that Fukurōdani is going to win because he's going to win before their match is going to start, everyone is confused, and Hondo suggests that maybe he means that he's going to be the number one ace.[2]
After the game between Mujinazaka and Fukurodani starts, Onaga is about to spike the ball to the opposing side, but Unnan, Ezota, and Hondo all react right away. Unnan is able to stuff it, gaining his team the match's first point.
After Bokuto gets fired up, he scores multiple points in a row, seeming unstoppable; however, during one of Bokuto's second serve, Ezota is able to bump the ball to Hondo. And near the end of the match, Bokuto serves at full force but isn't able to produce a service ace since Ezota is able to bump it to Hondo, just like in the second set, who then reaches Kiryū; however, Hondo is not shown after Mujinazaka's loss to Fukurōdani.
