Plot[]
Hinata is getting better at his job of being the ball boy. While carrying out his duties, Hinata utilizes the opportunity to observe and learn from the other players.
When it’s time for the 2-on-2 practice match, Hyakuzawa is overwhelmed by the huge skill difference between him and the rest. He grows apprehensive about his poor performance and unknowingly blurts out to Hinata that the latter should have been the one invited to the camp. Hearing this, Hinata reassures Hyakuzawa that he deserves to be here and extols Hyakuzawa’s 2-meter height as the ultimate talent. When questioned why he’s encouraging a rival, Hinata candidly replies that he simply wants to best Hyakuzawa at his best. Hinata then requests Hyakuzawa to test something out for him.
In the following 2-on-2 drill, Hyakuzawa continues to struggle with the fast pace of the rally. Hinata offers encouragement on the sidelines and shouts at Hyakuzawa to relax. Recalling Hinata’s advice, Hyakuzawa makes a high pass to buy time for his team to regroup. As a result, he manages to spike over Kunimi’s block and scores for his team.
