Oikawa's first name is spelt TO-O-RU, not TO-U-RU, so the romanization Tōru (equivalent to the romanization Touru) would be incorrect. So I hope, wherever everyone sees the romanization Tōru, it's corrected to Tooru. Thanks! Treefish (talk) 00:50, August 19, 2014 (UTC)

I have no idea about your level of Japanese but, that is wrong. The correct romanization does contains a ō as also being translated. Funny is that it's romanization is Toru, rather than Tooru, the hiragana of the "O" has not been showed twice but once, making thus it's name Toru rather than Tooru or Tōru. Another thing, do not move pages on your own, due to this confusing moving his page has been moved to deleted which I could not turn it back to its original state. So in the future, please do not move pages unless you inform a administrator to do so. Thanks. KidProdigy (Local UserpageLocal Talk) 10:22, August 19, 2014 (UTC)

Oi means 'reaching out' , Kawa means 'river' and Tooru is 'to go through' or    'to penetrate/penetrate'.

> Mr. Penetrate Reaching out River-san

> Reaching out River mou ippon nice serve!

If you have watched many anime in subs (for like a long time I guess) then you might have noticed it, Tooru means to go through.

Example : "kono ana wo toore ba deguchi ga mieru hazuda." ( PS. I don't know and do Japanese so I'm not sure if I'm correct so If you know the right one then please edit the example sentence but same meaning.) Means "If you go through this hole, you will see the exit."

> SO ANYONE WHO HAS THE ACCESS TO EDIT THE NOMENCLATURE PART PLEASE EDIT HIS NAME Tōru to 'to go through' .

Its Kanji (Calligraphy in China that is also used in Korea and Japan although Japan has its own unique and a bit different version).

And yes I searched for it  Is 'to go through'

PS. Sorry for my grammar I don't engurish. Reaching out River Penetrate-kun (talk) 12:21, March 15, 2016 (UTC)

Oikawa’s Knee Injury[]

Hey just wanted to put it out there, but his description says he wears a knee brace due to former injury... in canon Oikawa has never actually been stated with any knee injuries at all. He is mentioned to have a slight injury back in the practice match between Seijoh and Karasuno, but in the anime it was addressed as an ankle injury and literally never talked about again.

There could be a number of reasons why he wears what APPEARS to be a brace, but it doesn’t exactly mean an injury. I’m all for headcanons that sometimes are somewhat blown out of proportion, like his alien obsession, but it shouldn’t be stated as a fact in his description after my opinion.
