Tarō Onagawa (Japanese: 女川 (おながわ) 太郎 (たろう) Tarō Onagawa) is a 2nd year student at Date Tech High. He became one of the team's starting wing spikers after the 3rd years retired.


Appearance

Onagawa is an average-looking male with thick, unruly black hair. His eyes are slightly hooded and give him a rather sleepy appearance.

Plot

Spring High Preliminary Arc

He is first seen in the match between Date Tech High and Aoba Johsai, where he plays as a wing spiker. During the second set, Iwaizumi serves, and he seems to be about to score when Onagawa receives it and gains Date Tech the rally.

Tokyo Nationals Arc

Onagawa is the first one to serve, but Nishinoya is easily able to bump it. Sometime in the second set, Onagawa, along with Obara, and Fukiage all see a cross-shot from Tanaka incoming and set up a triple block to stuff him. Although it does not succeed, the ball goes out of bounds. A few rallies later, Onagawa serves, and Daichi is barely able to bump it.

Compared to the rest of the team, Onagawa's abilities are average. In fact, he is on the bottom when it comes to power, second only to Sakunami. However, he is the best when it comes to game sense and technique. He also seems to have a stable ability over offense and defense.[1]
