"The Murder of Bokuto" (Japanese:

Bokuto has been murdered and it's up to a select few detectives to find out who the culprit is. As suspects are interviewed, are things really as they appear?
Plot[]
Inspectors Takeda and Ukai have gathered everyone present to announce the murder of Bokuto of the famous idol group Finger Five, having eaten poisoned sweets some time during the night. Bokuto's body had been discovered by his manager, Akaashi, and his two stylists, Yukie and Suzumeda, called for the police right after.
The inspectors have gathered everyone else staying on the same floor as Bokuto who also happen to be the other members of the idol group: Sakusa, Ushijima, and Kiryū. As Takeda is trying to figure out why the murder happened, a group of detectives appear to help solve the case. The detectives are Oikawa Holmes, Iwaizumi Watson, Kunimi Conan, and Kindaichi as a normal detective.
Takeda feels relieved seeing so many detectives were staying in the same hotel. Suzumeda tries to point out how she and Yukie have been affected by Bokuto's death and claims that Yukie hasn't even been able to eat her favorite desserts even though Ukai points out that she's eating a plate of spaghetti just fine. Oikawa assures Suzumeda that the mystery is as good as solved since he already knows who the culprit is at the same time Kindaichi announces how he thinks he knows how the sweets were poisoned. However, each detective points to a different person: Oikawa points to Ushijima, Kindaichi to Sakusa, Kunimi to Kiryū, and Iwaizumi to Oikawa for the sole reason that situations arise when Oikawa is around and must therefore be the reason for those occurrences.
With so many people being accused, Takeda asks if the detectives can explain why they think their suspect is the murderer. Kindaichi explains that he thinks Sakusa is the murderer because his meticulous nature often clashed with the casual Bokuto and he had even once mentioned wanting to kill him. Sakusa assures everyone that he is not the killer since he wouldn't do something so filthy as leave a dead body around.
Even though everyone seems a little suspicious as Sakusa details how he would have committed the perfect murder, he is innocent of Bokuto's death. Oikawa lightly teases Kindaichi for still needing to learn more about being a good detective and again claims that Ushijima is the killer. When Ushijima asks why Oikawa thinks it is him, Oikawa answers that he just doesn't like Ushijima. He does add that Ushijima's arm strength was enough to have killed Bokuto with just one punch, but Iwaizumi tries to remind Oikawa that Bokuto was poisoned.
When Oikawa starts to get a little out of control, Iwaizumi uses his medical abilities to put the detective to sleep and take over the interview. He asks Ushijima if he was the one who had purchased the chocolates that Bokuto possibly consumed. Ushijima answers that he did purchase the sweets from his friend Tendō. Iwaizumi asks if it was possible that Ushijima could have asked Tendō to poison the chocolates, but Akaashi does not think this was possible since he and several others also ate some of the chocolates and were not affected by anything. Iwaizumi then suspects that Ushijima may have just poisoned the specific chocolates that Bokuto ate but Ushijima answers that he also ate one of the same chocolates and hasn't had any signs of poisoning but does admit feeling a little unwell earlier in the morning as his nose suddenly starts bleeding right then.
Now Kunimi is the only one left to explain his theory. To Kiryū's shock, Kunimi thinks he is the murderer simply because he has the most sketchy appearance of everyone present. He also points out how Kiryū doesn't have an alibi, but Kiryū replies that no one else provided an alibi either. Ushijima quickly provides his alibi that he had been training during the night and had damaged the floor in the process. Sakusa had been cleaning his room and states that the hotel owner will need to be informed of his 'poor' cleaning in certain areas. The final member of the idol group, Aran, is brought up and if he has an alibi. Akaashi explains that Aran has a solid alibi by having gone to visit friends from his hometown and was gone most of the night.
As Kindaichi and Oikawa continue to accuse Sakusa and Ushijima, Kunimi decides to use his wristwatch to knock out Kiryū. Using his voice changing bowtie, Kunimi mimics Kiryū's voice to claim that he is the killer, but his ruse doesn't fool anyone. Finally admitting that Kiryū is not the killer, Kunimi claims to know who the real culprit is. While still speaking in Kiryū's voice, Kunimi states that the evidence points to one person and announces that Yukie is the murderer.
With everyone confused at how Ushijima didn't die from eating the chocolate, Kunimi explains that Ushijima didn't actually eat any of the poisoned chocolates. Because he so rarely eats any sweets, Ushijima's body reacted to the chocolate by giving him a nosebleed. Because of this, it's determined that the chocolate given to Bokuto from Ushijima must not have been poisoned. Kunimi states that all of Yukie's sweets were poisoned as a means to be certain of Bokuto dying from eating the sweets. Suzumeda now understands why Yukie has not eaten any of her sweets despite the enormous amount she has stocked away.
Yukie finally confesses and explains her reasoning is because Bokuto would always eat her precious sweets. Since she saw no other way to make him stop, she decided to poison all of her sweets but didn't think they would come back to prove her to be the killer. With the confession, Yukie is arrested and informed that she will be further questioned at the police station. As the detectives begin to leave as well, Sakusa questions if they have anything to say to those they accused.
Bokuto approaches director Ennoshita to complain that he hasn't stood out since being murdered in the first scene. Ennoshita replies how Bokuto is always standing out and can handle not being the star for a while.
