"The Switching Twins" (Japanese:
Overview[]
After the match between Inarizaki and Karasuno, the twin sisters who had disturbed Atsumu during his first serve attempt to apologize to the setter but soon become mixed at wondering which Miya they are talking to.
Plot[]
The match between Inarizaki and Karasuno has ended. The sisters who had unintentionally disturbed Atsumu during his serve decide to find the setter and apologize for having cheered during his routine. The two quickly find Atsumu but the setter does not wish to interact with the girls. Deciding not to say this directly, Atsumu pretends to be Osamu and states that his hair had changed after the match.
The sisters initially don't believe that he is Osamu, but Atsumu convinces them otherwise by explaining his hair changed because of the Earth's spin differing between East and West Japan. Still pretending to be Osamu, Atsumu states how he does not like hearing people cheer when a player is serving and requests they not do it again. When the girls apologize, Atsumu claims that he will pass the apology onto its intended person before making Osamu sound like an angry and heartless person.
When he leaves, the sisters are completely thrown off from thinking the person they were talking to was Osamu. A moment later, they see the real Osamu walking by and right away think he is Atsumu. They quickly approach him and apologize for making noise during his serve. Confused by what they are doing, Osamu tries to tell them that they are talking to the wrong twin and points out his hair only for them to repeat Atsumu's explanation of why his hair changed color.
Realizing what's going on, Osamu claims he is Atsumu and begins to act silly while blaming it on the magnetic rotation of East and West Japan. While portraying himself as the nicer twin, Osamu tells the sisters to continue attending Inarizaki's matches and cheering as loud as they can whenever Atsumu serves. He eventually leaves and leaves the two further bewildered.
Now thinking they should apologize to Osamu, the two begin to wonder if they can ask one of the Inarizaki players to find Osamu but want to ask someone who looks nice. Ōmimi and Aran walk by but the two don't ask them. Having heard the conversation, the two boys wonder if they don't look nice enough and Aran is confused as to why they had greeted him in English. After the girls decide not to ask Suna since he seems intimidating as well, the girls soon spot Kita and ask if he could find Osamu for them.
Unfortunately, Kita asks the two not to bother the players since they just got done with an exhausting game. He also adds that they shouldn't be cheering during serves since it's a big distraction. The sisters quickly apologize and promise not to do anything to bother the team again.
Kita returns to the team where Atsumu and Osamu see how powerful Kita's words affect others. As the two begin planning to next impersonate their captain, Kita points out how it won't work since they don't look anything like him and are taller than him.
