SPOILERS FOR NON-MANGA READERS!!!
So when I said that I was obsessed with Haikyuu!! I meant it! For some reason, I predicted that I would love Haikyuu!! hence I wrote/am writing a 'diary' for myself. But now that I found out about the wiki and also the blogs, I'm able to share the things that I've done or just random things to do with Haikyuu!! Even if no-one looks at my blogs, I'm happy that I found a place to publicly share these things! Especially in a place about Haikyuu!!
So for this blog, I'm going to write down the things that I've done to do with Haikyuu and just anything else, like opinions and activity on the wiki.
(In advance, I apologise to my 'past' self if some things sound cringe and I sound like a complete idiot!!!)
Also, ~() means comments that I've written when I re-read this diary/dates.
My diary[]
This is the first anime I’ve actually loved, even though I started on the 14/02/20. I’ve surprisingly done loads of research and might buy ‘Crunchyroll’ but probably in a years time as season 4 just aired in January 2020, but this is sooooooooo good.
06/04/20[]
I’ve already read the first 3 chapters of Haikyuu!! before this date. But now I’ve actually bought a subscription on VIZ and I’ve started reading the first 2 volumes!!! ~(Dedication from me)
MASSIVE TIME GAP HERE. So I was reading the manga during this time.
04/05/20[]
Reading the final arc has never made me smile THIS MUCH TODAY. It’s just too good to see the time skip.
05/05/20[]
I've finally caught up with the manga now.
07/05/20[]
So I have a beach volleyball but it was flat. But today, the pins for the pump finally came and now the ball feels much better.
09/05/20[]
I actually started drawing Haikyuu!! I'm such a fan!!! I've started to draw out ‘Haikyuu!!’ in Japanese and English in my ‘art book’. Obviously, I don’t do art and I’ve only drawn on the first page, so I’ve got plenty of space for more Haikyuu!! related stuff ~(Though I'm not good at drawing or art)
10/05/20[]
Ok, I’ve chosen to re-read the match between Nekoma and Karasuno in the nationals tourney.
16/05/20[]
I've finished re-reading the Nekoma nationals match. I'm going to read Inarizaki’s game.
22/05/20[]
I actually started to look into the ’hyper projection’ and I watched the ‘summer of evolution’ on YouTube. There’s so much and I wish it could be in English on DVD (with subs!). But it's really good, the stage play. ~(I would share it, but it got removed under copyright laws!)
23/05/20[]
So I finished reading the Inarizaki match in a week, which is surprising as this match was longer than Nekoma’s, but I still finished it in the same amount of time, 6 days. Probably because I read ≈ 13 chapters the first day. So I want to read the Tokyo training arc because as I was reading Inarizaki's match, I squeezed in watching this part in the anime (in English dub for my brother) and yesterday, I watched ‘summer of evolution’ stage play, which is the adaptation of the training camp. So it’s only natural that I’ll read it. I don’t know when I’ll stop, but I’ll continue.
27/05/20[]
So I finished the training arc and I’m probably going to read all the way to where I started for Inarizaki’s match, so that will probably take me a month to do. And this arc had 26 chapters and Inarizaki had ≈48 chapters, so that is that.
30/05/20[]
So I read from chapter 72 to, so far 108, so it’s pretty good.
So other than reading, I was thinking that I could change my wallpaper as I've saved all these pictures and don’t really do anything with it ~(YES, THEY'RE NOT CREDITED BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT SOURCING THE ARTIST! But I never shared the art, just saved it, so that's good) So I chose the really cute ones of Sakusa from Suncelia 1 and 2 because I couldn’t do any of the ships and when I tried the team art from the ~ Mashi vid The art's here it wouldn’t fit, and also the Sakusa one is soooooo cute. The main reason why I chose the masked one was because it's cute, but also we're in the pandemic of Covid and I kept thinking about Sakusa so far in Haikyuu!! and also what would happen if he was in this pandemic. Poor Sakusa!!! ~(When I looked at the whole post of the masked Sakusa, that was the purpose and reference to the pandemic 😅) Anyway, that’s the other thing about Haikyuu!! I wanted to say.
So the last paragraph was about me using the saved pictures and using them for wallpapers. So I figured out a way to edit the pictures so that it could fit on the phone: I copied it on Pages and used shapes and the colour pipet to get the same colour and then screenshotted it. This process is quite long and a lot of editing and deleting, but it turned out really good. I edited Sakusa’s by colouring it in using the edit pen. I have to screenshot them so that they fit for the wallpaper.
31/05/20[]
So I edited the pictures from Sencelia: the quadrate photos and they look really good. I just have to colour in the top and the bottom and then edit the size. That’s all, so now I have a few more now, but I’m sticking to Sakusa for a while ~(Me talking about wallpapers/backgrounds)
04/06/20[]
So my parents finally watched Haikyuu!! on Netflix (dub of course) and it felt quite awkward, as it’s something I love. But it wasn’t that bad! My mom pointed out that there’s a lot of shouting and it’s noisy, but I don’t really mind, as now I’ve watched and read Haikyuu!! it’s just the characters, Haikyuu’s style and also it’s funny (to me!!!) My dad agreed with that, but it looks like he likes it!
I was reading the part when Yamaguchi gets to serve 5 times in a row, until my dad saw and suggested to watch it on Netflix.
While watching it from the start, I thought/make SOOOO many references to later events and kind of recited some words: English and Japanese, and laughed ahead of time!!! It’s been so long since I’ve watched the 1st season and it being in dub as well. It feels weird but ‘refreshing’, but mainly weird, showing to my parents the thing that I’m obsessed with!
05/06/20[]
So we watched Haikyuu!! up to the end of S1 E13. Again, I still made loads of thoughts, references to the subbed audio, commented on the dub, ships and further on in the anime/manga. My mom also said there’s a lot of trash talk, and she’s really not wrong!!! Also the episode about the match against Date Tech, my mom said there’s too much drama.
During the scene when they showed Nishinoya before he came back, they said the guardian was the JANITOR and THAT WAS SO INSULTING!!!! ~(They didn’t know about Nishinoya then and also, to be honest, he was seen with a broom!)
06/06/20[]
So right now, we’re watching S1 E22.
But right now, my mouth REALLY HURTS from laughing and smiling from the parts in Haikyuu!!: the events, OSTs, smiling at future parts and just EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING.
During the Seijoh match, my parents kept saying that there’s too much tension and that the episodes are short. When it ends, it’s short when the tension’s really big!!! For the last point, since the set went to 32-31, my mom said that Oikawa should just ace it, but REALLY, TO END IT LIKE THAT!!! Also, when they found out that Hinata got blocked, they said that was heartbreaking and were surprised that they lost. So I said, which is better now, just ace it? and she thought that that was the part I ‘cried’ at, but when it came to Karasuno eating with 'accustomed strength' playing, that was when I felt like crying, even my mom said that she felt like crying. So now we’re on S1 E25.
On a side note on the manga, I’m at the chapter when it’s the last rally between Seijoh and the OST: direct confrontation. I’ve kind of been reluctant to read it without the OST playing, and I’m still watching so I’ll wait ~(Basically, I was reading the manga while watching as well) Plus the next chapter’s out, so I can’t wait to see who’s featured next, as the rest of the other players on both teams have been shown.
08/06/20[]
So I should have written this on the 6th but I didn’t. So I finally make an account on Haikyuu!! wiki FANDOM ~(YEAH) and made a page on the OSTs in each episode, but it got taken down as it wasn’t going to on the wiki, but it could be in a blog ~(And yes, I did make it a blog here. MASSIVE SHOUTOUT TO Umeiryo for helping me!) I mean it is my first time so it’s expected, but I really want to do more, but I’m too scared to edit on pages as it is public and EVERYONE can see the changes. I looked at the recent history and saw my name! ~(So yeah, first-time jitters!!! But now, if it’s something you love, why not do it) ~~(I don't know if this really counts. 14/08/20 I have over 1,000 edits and reading this now, I've gone a long way 😅)
So for the chapters, I’m going to skip Shiratorizawa’s match and I’ll just wait to watch the anime and then read it. So for the meantime, I’m going to read the OVA: land vs air and ‘maybe’ MAYBE the volleyball way.
09/06/20[]
So being into the FANDOM has been ok so far. I guess I’m scared or stressing out over it as it is public and I don’t want something to be deleted ~(Again, first-time jitters and my confidence being low) 🤣
So while watching the anime, the thing that made me LMAO is that both my parents called Oikawa “pretty boy” and it made me LAUGH SO MANY TIMES!!!
11/06/20[]
Now onto Haikyuu!! anime: I got HiDive so that I could get the dub for my parents. To be honest, it was nice watching it in dub, but I WISH I COULD'VE WATCHED IT IN SUB WHEN TSUKI BLOCKED USHIJIMA.
While I waited to watch it with my parents, I did re-watch some episodes from S2 in sub. When my dad saw me watching it, he pointed out that I’m reading the subs and hurting my eyes, but I'm not. I completely prefer it in sub than dub.
12/06/20[]
So we watched season 3 in two days.
20/06/20[]
So I started to make the teams' keychains using their colours out of wool. But I stopped when I didn't have some of the colours. But I didn’t know that I did had the colours just a different string! It’s just that I had to double the string as it was thin, but now, I finally finished making all of the teams. I’m really proud of how that turned out. They look really cute and I’m glad I had the colours so I didn’t have to buy them. Picture's here
21/06/20[]
So I know the last time I wrote here was yesterday but back into the daily ’update’.
So we’ve started to watch Haikyuu!! again (in dub) from the beginning and now we’re on S2 E21.
22/06/20[]
~(Ok, so I like Pokemon and this is all about the very ‘shocked’ me!)
So I’ll start from the start. So I started to watch a radio video and I learnt that Yachi’s VA (Sumire Morohoshi) was actually 16 when she was recording Haikyuu!! so I wanted to look at her age now, and so I did it. Then, I saw an image that she played the VA of Acerola on a Crunchyroll compilation, the purple-haired girl in Pokemon: sun and moon. So I wanted to check that out. ALSO, ISHIKAWA AND OKAMOTO (Kageyama and Nishinoya’s VA) also played in Sun and moon (Ishikawa plays Kaiwe and Okamoto plays Gladion) and DAMN I was shocked. I even went to youtube and looked for the original Japanese audio for those characters and saw/heard that they did play those characters. OMG!!!
Right now, we're watching S3 E7!
25/06/20[]
So I made a 'slight' reference to Haikyuu :) So I’m doing French and it’s talking about the comparative. So one of the sentences I translated was “snakes are more dangerous than cats” First thought was Neko ~(cat in Japanese) but then I thought about Nohebi and Nekoma (OVA). I make too many references to Haikyuu!! 😅 ~(The other ones were just slight references hence I haven't added them to this blog)
27/06/20[]
So yesterday, we finished S4, in two days! (In sub 🥳)
Yesterday and this morning, my mom went and did ‘research’ on nationals, so now my parents know that Nekoma lost, Karasuno lost and Fukurōdani lost finals. Well, it’s fine now I don’t have to give major spoilers. Well, I did give some insight into the Kamomedai match, that Hoshiumi’s team beats Karasuno and that Tenma (I mentioned "little giant") watches as well. So they only know about Nationals and my mom looked at the wiki!!! Oh well, at least it’s something. It feels weird; I feel proud kinda that mom looked at the wiki!!! ~(Yes, cringe alert) So... now that I’ve finished the whole series, I ‘probably’ might go back to the manga. Well, I am watching the movies, 3rd and 4th one, as I got Crunchyroll premium, the 14-day trial, so I’ll do that first and also the OSTs played in each one. So yeah, lots of Haikyuu!! things to do for me!!!
So I finished the movie: talent and sense and I did the OSTs played at each time, but I’ll go back through the first hour to put the times in ~(I WISH I ADDED THE CHARACTER APPEARANCES WHEN I STILL HAD THE 14-DAY TRIAL!!!) To be honest, I shed a tear when Seijoh started to cry at the end, even ACCUSTOMED STRENGTH PLAYED!!! Well, I’ll watch the next one afterwards. I just hope that the OST won’t play when Shiratorizawa is back at school! ~(They didn't, they played Goal!!!)
30/06/20[]
So I’ve been on the wiki again and now I feel more confident as it’s a place where I can express myself. I feel a lot better editing on it now than before. Yesterday, I finally finished the two movies and added them onto their movie page so that was finally done. I’m probably going to do S4 soon if someone hasn’t done it already, I don’t think so.
03/07/20[]
Something that’s bringing me down is that Haikyuu!! is almost finished. Seeing the posts and questions about Haikyuu!! only going to have a few chapters left is depressing. Something that I’ve loved ever since Feb is going to end. But at least the anime is there but I don’t know how to feel now that I’ve seen all of these posts ~(Well I know that others have loved it way longer than me but I'm still a fan)
05/07/20[]
So now I’m going back to the wiki and I’ve started to do S4 again. I watched E6-9, I think!
So knowing that Haikyuu!! is almost coming to an end, I’m trying to not think about it in a negative way, so yeah!
So I finally finished putting the times for S4 and put them on each of their episode pages so that’s good. I’m probably going to add the anime/manga adaptations and write the chapters for each episode in the anime. So I read chap 400 and seeing the teams' banners were really nice.
06/07/20[]
So, I started reading the Haikyuu-bu!! spin-off and I have to admit it’s really good and funny!!! I still want to talk to others and find out more about the world of Haikyuu!! especially the 'spin-off series' that's illustrated by Furudate-sensei. ~(Light novels :)
ANOTHER SEIYUU DISCOVERY!!! YAMAGUCHI’S VA SOMA SAITO PLAYS KAI FROM THE FOREST PIANO/PIANO NO MORI! OMG, I CHECKED AND IT IS HIM!!! ~(I hope it isn't me, but when you know that a VA also plays a character from another anime that you've seen/like, don't you get shocked?!)
12/07/20[]
So reading the latest chapter, Promises really was amazing for me.
17/07/20[]
So I finally caught up with my diary.
So I realised that I didn't put some things in the diary. So I'll put them here now:
First, I read the BJ vs SA match before Chap 400, and it was nice to read it again (should've put this under 12/07/20. It doesn't matter) Also, I think even before that, I read the Inarizaki match (but didn't finish it yet, but I've re-read it, so I was re-re-reading it HAHA!) I wanted to see what I missed so that I'm ready for S4 Cour 2 to come out in October.
So I’m adding "This episode is the anime adaptation of chapter..." (if you haven't seen my contributions) and I want to make sure that the source I have is correct, so I’m looking at the manga as well and OMG, HOW MUCH HAS CHANGED WITH THE WHOLE SERIES. The old-style, characters and just EVERYTHING THAT HAS CHANGED FROM THE BEGINNING TO NOW!! The knowledge and developments are insane. I say this a lot of times but I LOVE Haikyuu!! Arigatōgozaimashita FURUDATE-SENSEI!!!
You know, it’s actually nice to hear the anime and see the manga at the same time, it’s actually nice. Well, for E4 and chap 8.
Well... I surprisingly finished the whole of S1 today: adding the anime-to-manga adaptation on each episode!!! I'm actually shocked at myself that I managed this much. This is definitely the most edits that I've done on the wiki, let alone in a day!!! I feel really good and happy that I was able to do this much. I know adding 'This episode is the anime adaptation of chapter...' for every episode is really small, but the small things do sometimes matter. Especially for me, I like to see the differences/refer some moments between the manga and the anime. Also, I know it took me a long time, but to be honest, it was really beneficial!!! For starters, as I mentioned before: listening to the anime and reading/looking at the manga is really nice. Secondly, it kind of 'refreshed' my mind, seeing the manga from the beginning (even though I didn't read them fully and also, I just realised that on chap 68, pg 14-15, the scene looks 'exactly' the same when Hinata and Kageyama stopped Osamu) but once in a while, it's nice to revisit the manga and appreciate the art/illustrations! I'm defiantly going to continue with this, for the remainder of the anime, but not this many edits in a day HAHA!
Even though the manga is coming to an end, I'm still going to edit here and expand my knowledge! Engrave more things into my memory!!! I'm so happy that I get to share this here on the blog. It feels nice to share things to others, even if no-one looks at this.
17/07/20[]
Ok, yes I know that I repeated the same date, but I wanted to write this down here and also something away from my 'personal' Haikyuu!! life :)
So I was curious to see what were the other blogs here on the wiki. So I went to the Category:Blog posts and when I looked, they were actually nice! Especially the ones from the admins and the team before. Also, I went onto the Haikyūpedia on the main page and read how this wiki all started. I was surprised to see all of the members before/now in the team and just the growth of the Wiki! Although it wasn't that popular, they all worked really hard to make the wiki, the wiki it is today!
It's upsetting though, that some people just have no respect towards others or the wiki, and it makes me mad, really! What's the point of vandalising or doing ANYTHING you're not supposed to do here? They're going to be seen and you'll get blocked, simple as. Also, this wiki is active and just because the admins aren't here, doesn't give you the right to think "I can get away with this" There are others here who want to edit and love Haikyuu!! so just don't cause trouble. I find it really hard to see a reason for this activity!
Umm, so yeah! Sorry if I went a 'bit' off-topic, but I really wanted to say this. I'm so grateful for everyone, admin or not, for making this wiki beautiful! I know I could never have the confidence or the skill to add all of these things, so if anyone does read this, Arigatōgozaimashita (Yes I did look it up and copy/pasted it here!!!)
18/07/20[]
While I did S2 E5: Greed, I was playing it on Netflix and read the manga at the same time! The adaptation is actually accurate (well according to the viz translation) DAMN I SHED A TEAR WHILE READING/LISTENING!!!
Also today, I'm starting to read the 'differences between the anime and the manga' while I have both the VIZ and Netflix windows open (as I'm checking. I want all the info to be as accurate as possible)
19/07/20[]
So today is the last chapter of Haikyuu!! I'm actually looking forward to it!! I've tried to restrict myself from looking at leaks and spoilers (though I did skim 1, but didn't look at it in detail, so it's fine, I guess!) I've told myself not to think about it negatively, and it's paying off! When it does come out at 5 pm GMT+1, I'm going to read it!!! ~(Do you not see how carefree I was then. Read this and then read the next date!!!)
20/07/20[]
So...... this blog will explain things: here
21/07/20[]
So if you haven't seen, I was removing the "English translation is called..." for V1-13 as they're already named from the English translation. So while I was going through the chapter, I saw that A LOT OF CHAPTERS didn't have any plot or overview, so I jotted them down while I was going through the chapters.
NOW, doing that, from what happened on Sunday and yesterday, I wanted to do something for the wiki. Something that didn't require me to read a lot, as you know from my blog here I was expressing my feelings about Haikyuu!! and reading a lot would only make me feel worse, as I would start to 'remember how far Haikyuu!! has gone and everything is in the blog above!!! I know I'm still 'recovering' (HAHA) but I don't want this feeling I feel now to get me down. I just need to wait for myself to get over the fact and then when I do, I can start to look at Haikyuu again in the face!!!
So you might still be wondering "why am I still editing on the wiki if I keep saying these things?" To be honest, I don't 'feel as lost' if that makes sense?! If I edit on here and keep saying my thought/emotions, I feel a lot better! Well, the things right now aren't major changes so that might be why.
22/07/20[]
So, I guess this 'is' and at the same time 'not' related to Haikyuu!! So I know that I'm not 100% yet from Haikyuu!! but today, I was definitely feeling better. I started to re-watch an anime that I watched before in English dub, so I wanted to watch it in sub, and it's 'Forest of Piano' or 'Piano No Mori'. It's basically a piano competition, and yes, I've mentioned this anime before, because the main character is played by Yamaguchi's VA: Soma Saito. So obviously, I did make a lot of references to Haikyuu!! but it was nice and funny! I know that I am remembering Haikyuu!! but it didn't affect me!
It was really nice to hear the sub! I definitely heard similar words/similarities, like "Daijōbu", "Sorry (I know that there's more than one way to say this in Japanese)" "That's cool (Kakkoī)", "That's amazing (Sugoi)", "World (Sekai)(I referenced this to when Kageyama said that Hinata would play on the same stage as him, even against the world (and including the latest chapters!))" and "Arigatōgozaimashita" (I apologise for the Japanese!! I'm not Japanese so I had to look it up on Google translate!!) Also I recognised the honorifics and that their last names are said first rather than their first names!
After I watched Haikyuu!! my view, knowledge and preference have definitely changed towards anime and I enjoy it so much more! I know I'm making lots of references to Haikyuu!! as it's the only thing I can refer to but using my knowledge and imagination is fun! For example, since the main character has the same VA as Yamaguchi, when he says "Gomen" it sounds exactly the same way that Yamaguchi would say "Gomen Tsukki!!!" and just any reference with Yamaguchi and other things in Haikyu!!
Surprisingly, when I was explaining/recalling the characters' future jobs to my dad, because he's only watched the anime and was curious about the time-skip:
- I was surprised that I remembered most of the characters' future jobs.
- I didn't feel down or sad when I was telling them! Normally that would have made me a little sad but it didn't.
It looks like that I'm slowly getting over it, or maybe because my mind is off of Haikyuu!! as I'm watching another anime. But I'm definitely happy now, but I don't want to rush myself into editing on the wiki right away. I'm able to listen to the VAs but not yet the anime/manga. Looking at posts didn't mind me much, so yeah!!!
23/07/20[]
So today, I kept listening to the seiyuus on youtube, Karasuno and others and it was nice. I didn't really think about Haikyuu!! only how amazing all of their voices are!!!
24/07/20[]
So I'm planning to do the manga plots now! I feel like I'm a lot better now and also I don't want all of my edits to be only on my blogs, so I'm going to finally edit on the MAIN WIKI!!! Also, I might just skim through some other pages to see if there are other links that need to be replaced or any minor edits I can do.
Ok, I'm not going to do the plots... I might do it for some of the chapters but not all.
25/07/20[]
So I think that I still have that 'bit' of 'sadness' or referencing to the end of Haikyuu!! I don't think that I'm able to 'watch' the anime yet or read the manga (though when I did the plot for chap 72, it didn't affect me much) without the referencing or feeling a little down. Even the OSTs makes me a little sad (even the upbeat ones) because since I've memorised all of them and remember when they were played in the anime, I have memories of the anime and then I can't help but reference and think about the end!
WELL DON'T WE EXPERIENCE THIS ONCE IN A WHILE!!! Well on the flip side, I finished the anime "Forest of Piano" and it was nice. With the sub, I was able to enjoy and understand it better rather than the dub! Also, I'm able to listen to the videos of the VAs on repeat and it doesn't affect me. I guess it's because they're different songs and I'm just listening to their voices as they sing, so there isn't really anything to reference towards Haikyuu!! Well, that's all just me!!
I wonder how long it will take me to get used to this, it's almost been a week since the last chapter came out! But I still really love Haikyuu!! Just one step at a time (I was about to reference Takeda's quote when he was talking to Hinata, about before reaching the top or a journey, you need to start from the bottom. I couldn't remember the quote, sorry!) But yeah, that's how I feel now!!!
26/07/20[]
So I went back to the "Anime adaptation of..." which is kinda weird for me, but I didn't get affected by it, though I was looking at the anime and manga! Well, to be honest, the episodes I had to fill in was the match against Aobajohsai, so there wasn't really anything to reference from/to. And also, S2 E22, the one when Yamaguchi gets 5 services in a row (I LOVE THAT EPISODE AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF YAMAGUCHI!!!) was just too good for me to get upset or think about anything further in the series!
So on the topic of the wiki, before I add the "Anime adaptation of..." for S3 and 4, I'm going to 'fix' or make the episode pages better. After getting help from Umeiryo with the layout, I'm going to be doing that!
So away from the wiki, MY PARENTS HAVE CHOSEN TO WATCH HAIKYUU FROM THE BEGINNING!!! Well... I think you know where this is going... I just can't yet. Even if I listen to their conversations about what happens further in the series is going to make me tear up or become upset, so no! I'm going to be here on the wiki 😁 When I edit on the wiki, I just feel so much better. It's doing something for Haikyuu!! that doesn't require me to read or think that much. Also, summaries are A LOT BETTER than watching the anime or reading the manga directly. Well, that's just me. There are still things that I can't do or don't want to do yet like I mentioned yesterday.
27/07/20[]
I just realised how many "so" I've written in at the beginning of each date. I really need to open up my vocabulary and starters!!! :D
So, I started to look through the episode pages again, after getting help with some queries I had. It's just mainly the layout and minor changes in the pages.
On a side note, while I was editing S1 E12's page, I was looking at Netflix and started to laugh A LOT at the moment when Yamamoto and Tanaka were about to "rumble" and Tanaka kept saying "city (Shitty) boy"!!! Maybe it's because I haven't watched some of S1's episodes, so instead of feeling upset, I just laughed and told myself "HOW DID I FORGET ABOUT THIS PART!!!"
So I had a little break and I was watching, well listening to the OST that was played in S4 E13, when Karasuno gets ready to play against Inarizaki as they wear their orange-dominant jerseys. I just love that OST and can't wait for it be on youtube so I can put it on repeat for hours (literally, I could do that, non-stop, but I would be doing other things while listening to it :D) So far the only music or things I'm listening to is the VAs singing, OP/EDs and the odd OST from S1-3.
(I was just looking at the FLY HIGH!! page, just randomly and I didn't realise that Daichi's bruise was added in the OP for E19! I even had to check and that shocked me!!!)
So I'm actually watching Haikyu!! with my parents. I started to watch when Asahi came back. Yes, I did make references but I guess now, the references are for the 'better' if that makes sense. I feel like I am getting better and over it, so that's good :D
28/07/20[]
So I'm really glad that I found the page that had the titles/links that didn't have a page, so I started to fix up those broken links because it has the 'link referrals' underneath the page, so that's SUPER useful!!!
So I went through the whole list and changed A LOT OF LINKS. I never realised how many pages were created before, though some of them did have spelling errors and I also saw the first page I created on the wiki! The Haikyuu!! OSTs, which is now, a beautiful blog!!!
(I FEEL BETRAYED!!! I NEVER NEW THE SPECIAL ENDING AT THE END OF SEASON 1, EPISODE 10, WHEN NEKOMA IS SHOWN GOING THROUGH THE TRAIN STATION! I ONLY THOUGHT IT WAS ON CRUNCHYROLL BUT WHEN I CHECKED ON NETFLIX, IT WAS THERE!!! THERE SHOULD BE A NO-AUTO-SKIP ON NETFLIX!!! (turns out there is and I've disabled it now :D) I feel like I've learnt my lesson now: DON'T SKIP THE OPENINGS OR ENDINGS!!!)
So as I was helping some people on Reddit, I decided to watch some parts of S4 and I found another favourite OST from S4. One time was during the OVA: Land vs Sky, when the way of the ace shirt was shown. Also, while watching, I decided to change my wallpaper. I don't know how long the Sakusa one was for, but I chose the eyecatches from S4: the cat Kenma one sleeping and then the crow Hinata! They look SO CUTE AND I LOVE THE COLOURS AS WELL!!!
29/07/20[]
I'm really happy today. I guess that, now, I'm back to normal!!! I'm able to watch the anime, read the manga and listen to the OSTs so that's really good!!! The references will always be there, but that's just knowledge and memories and shows how much I love Haikyuu!! if I'm able to remember THAT MUCH!!!
I finally made the Shimada Mart page, but it's REALLY BARE!!! I don't know a lot about it, especially the Japanese part, so I'll let others edit/add info to that page. Well other than that, I added the images that I took while I was taking screencaps for Shimada Mart, so that's good.
30/07/20[]
Nothing much today! Just finished editing S1 & 2, FINALLY!!! I still have to add some locations, so when I re-watch the anime/episodes I'll do that. I'm planning to do S3 when my parents are on the season so that I don't have to re-re-watch it when I do the "anime adaptation of..." So in the meantime, I'm still going to do the anime pages: linking the names and also fixing the appearances, so I'm still busy :D
31/07/20[]
I was looking through S3 E8 as I'm linking all of the names in the plot. But when I looked at the trivia and read that this was Keishin's, previous VA's, last episode, AND when he said "VOLLEYBALL IS A SPORT WHERE YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO LOOK UP!!!" was his last line, I COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT!!! I knew that he passed away and that Keishin's VA changed, but I didn't know when his last episode was. Also hearing that 'that' line was his last, makes it more... you know what I mean :(
01/08/20[]
As I watch S2 E8-10 right now, I keep reciting the sub while watching the dub!!! SUB IS SO MUCH BETTER 😭 Also, I was looking at the manga while listening to the dub too. The panels are soooo good and revisiting these things are really nice. Since I've gotten over that Haikyuu!! is finished, I can enjoy looking back without tearing up!
02/08/20[]
So I finally went through my OST blog and compared it to the ones on the individual pages. I did make a few mistakes but it was fine!!! I still can't believe that I got most of them right 😅 Also, I didn't go through them again once I wrote the OSTs down at first. It does take a long time to write the OSTs down once you've heard them and also finding the right OST. But that was back then, when I was starting to memorise the OSTs and their names! I feel more 'confident' if that makes sense with finding the right OST for each part of the anime now.
Like I said before, I LOVE THE MUSIC SO MUCH, I'm even listening to some parts of S4 just to hear the OSTs, even though the voice audio is included, but I don't mind, listening to the music is already sufficient enough. I can't wait for the official OSTs for S4 to come out, and also for Youtube videos to come out too, so I can listen to them on repeat and also to share what OST is being played during a specific time! So memorising all of the names benefits me; if I want to look up/listen to a specific OST. Also now, since I found a place where I can share this info, it benefits others. Sharing your passion/knowledge with someone/people is AMAZING!!
03/08/20[]
I feel like I'm starting to know more of the characters' first names off by heart, because as I'm linking everyone's name in the anime pages. To make it easier, I just have to type the first 4 characters/letters of the name/page and then it just comes up with suggestions, which is REALLY useful instead of me looking at the character page and then copying/pasting the names for the link to work!!!
I'm almost done with linking all of the names for the anime pages, so I'M SUPER HAPPY ABOUT THAT!!! I love it when you do something that is 'dedicated or assigned' to you, if that makes sense. Since I'm the only one who's doing this, it feels nice to have a responsibility and a part of the wiki to do, though, I know that this isn't solely for me, as this wiki is public, but you know what I mean 😊
So away from that, am I the only one who actually likes to listen to the anime audio without watching it? Well, I guess, since I've watched the anime TOO MANY TIMES, I've pretty much memorised/know what part of the anime I'm on, even though I'm just listening. Listening to the anime audio is really nice, hence how we get all of the iconic lines!!! I'm going to add these lines/words into my moments blog.
05/08/20[]
We're finally watching S3 (again), so I'm doing the "anime adaptations" again. I was going to also do the "Anime/Manga diffs" while watching the anime with my family, but, YOU KNOW IT'S HARD TO READ, TYPE/REMOVE, WATCH AND THINK about the differences, and with only ~20 mins! It sounds like I'm doing a deadline! HAHA!!! So I'll do the "anime adaptation" while watching and then re-watch the anime for the differences. Well, I don't mind doing it again, as the more I watch the anime, the more I memorise it and also, I WANT TO WATCH IT IN SUB 😁😭
I'll do all of this tomorrow!!!
06/08/20[]
So, I was going to go through S3's pages and do the "anime adaptation of chapter..." and the Anime/Manga diffs, but for some reason, MyAnimeList isn't working and I can't watch Season 3 😭 I don't know why I can't because I've been able to watch it on MAL using the 'Crunchyroll' provider since I started to watch Haikyuu!! S3 and 4. So I couldn't do that yet 😔 I'm just a little bit upset that I can't do this, as I've never had this kind of problem on MAL!!! Also, I'm not using Crunchyroll, the free one, as there're just TOO MANY ADDS AND I DON'T HAVE THE PATIENCE WHILE DOING ALL OF THIS. I'LL NEED TO KEEP REFERRING BACK AND FORTH IN THE EPISODE. Sorry for all of the capitals.
But instead, I did make a blog for the Anime-to-Chapter list, so basically the "anime adaptation of chapter..." in a list and blog, rather than individually. I will add this sentence to each anime page and also add it to the blog.
07/08/20[]
So I was able to do the Anime/Manga diffs for E1-4. I didn't use MAL because I still couldn't watch the Crunchyroll provided one, but instead, I was able to use HiDive! Yeah!!! So I was doing that for the day. I'm really happy that I got back to doing 'work' on the wiki. It just feels like if I don't do something, something feels 'weird' (well I have been active on the wiki for over 30 days now :) Also, like I said in a previous date, doing the anime pages, doing something that you 'know' you can do, kind of feels like that's 'delegated' to you! Also, looking through the anime and manga at the same time is nice.
I didn't realise that there were A LOT OF ANIME/MANGA DIFFERENCES IN S3! ESPECIALLY E4 the last half!!! Well if you think about it, the Shiratorizawa match was only 10 episodes, so things would have to be crammed in. Saying that, I hope the Inarizaki match won't turn out the same way, because though S4 Cour 2 will be 12 episodes rather than 10, Inarizaki's match is longer (I don't know by how many chapters off the top of my head) and that match is definitely my 2nd favourite. But to be honest, the adaptation isn't that bad, while I was looking through the manga as well.
14/08/20[]
Well... a whole week not updating this diary! Well, I haven't really done anything new for the last week, just the anime episodes and that stuff.
Well, yesterday and today, I started to do more for the wiki, in terms of edits. While I was scrolling through the music OP/ED pages, some things were missing/needed to be done so I did that. I had to add new OP/ED Crunchyroll videos as the ones before got taken down, so I added them and also and some other full versions to the pages. Also, I added the appearances for Phoneix and Kessen Spirit. (While I was doing the 'music' side of the wiki, I kept listening to the other OP/EDs) Also, just added some licensing to some of the recent images.
I keep adding things to do, but I haven't finished the anime pages yet 😅 Well, the anime pages are quite a large part of the wiki, and things just keep piling/popping up in my head that I want to do, like the music pages. I even think of adding the extra scenes in the movie's trivia section and then adding the "anime adaptation..." 😁 I just keep thinking of too many things. (I'm actually really grateful that I added my own to-do list, it helps me to be organised!!!)
So I just 'finished' fixing up the Anime to Chapter list and I added them into tables. It didn't look nice with them in one straight line and the bolded/unbolded black and orange colours didn't really look nice. I was kind of reluctant to do it, as I'm not good with codes and creating them (I'm still learning the more I edit and look at the source on source mode). But I think looking at other pages that already have tables in (like the OP/EDs on the music page), you start to see a pattern and as I kept switching from source to visual, you can see the differences. The thing with source is that it required A LOT OF DIFFERENT CHARACTERS for it to work and a lot of repetition (obviously I had to do it for every episode and chapter) but once it all comes together, it's definitely worth it. I'm not that good with CS or ICT but I'm still learning, especially if it will help the wiki (I hope so!)
15/08/20[]
So suddenly, I decided on the 'right' spelling of Haikyuu!! So today, I was changing EVERYTHING THAT I SPELT HAIKYU!! TO HAIKYUU!! not only on the wiki (though most of them were on the wiki, like my blogs, which I had to copy and create new ones with the right title spelling😅)
I've realised something while re-reading my diary: the recent dates have just been me 'updating' what I've been doing for/on the wiki and nothing else. So, I'll share the things that I have been doing other than editing on the wiki!
- So right now, while I was editing/creating my blogs, I was listening to the anime audio of the OVAs: Land vs Sky and the 2nd half of S4 E13.
- For the past few days, I've been reading the manga, but I've been REALLY INCONSISTENT. Like I've been jumping from chapter to chapter, match to match and just been reading/looking for specific chapters/scenes, hence I've been updating my blog. Like, I was reading the last few chapters of the Karasuno vs Nekoma National match, part of Inarizaki's match, the final arc and just everywhere! I'll make sure to update that blog so I can jot down my favourite chapters!!!
- For the Haikyuu!! anime-wise, my family have just been re-watching S1-3 over and over again 😅. It is nice to re-visit and think about the anime with all of the knowledge I have now, now that the manga is over (and yes, thinking about the dubbed version) But other than dub, I have been watching the anime in good old sub, like right now, I'm listening to the sub audio while typing all of this up :)
16/08/20[]
So I watched the in real life BJ vs SA match on youtube in the morning and it was really nice!!! Even though it was in Japanese, I didn't really care. Looking at the gameplays from each team was great!
- The sponsors on the side of the court were nice. There were (from what I saw): Bouncing Ball (KENMA!!!) Shimada Mart's pig and the Black Jackals / Schweiden Adlers.
- I saw the BABY CROW KAGEYAMA AND HINATA!!! I LOVED THAT SO MUCH!!!
- The players from each team were cool, funny and cute at the same time! Also, after each team won a point, their little victory actions were cute!
I thought that the match would be 5 sets, as the technical time outs were there as well, but it only went up to 3 sets, with the Schweiden Adlers winning!
17/08/20[]
UGHHHHHHHHH!!! I watched the new PVs and I AM SUPER EXCITED!!! The second PV gave me chills. The last half though... "This position. This timing. This angle. PERFECTO" 100% brought be back to the manga and can't wait for the anime to come out!!!
19/08/20[]
So I FINALLY finished S3 E7's plot! I don't know how long it took me, maybe about, 4-5 hours in total 😅 I really need to get faster at getting the right words out and then putting them into sentences HAHA. I think I'll wait a little before I do the next episode. But after that, I just have to check the Anime/Manga diffs and then I'm on to S4!!!
04/09/20[]
WELL, it has been a while since I 'updated' this! It's not like I haven't been editing on the wiki, it's just that the edits I've been doing are really small, or like one edit per day. Basically, I haven't been as 'active' as before. I've tried to squeeze in an edit a day to keep my daily streak. Once I've been active on the wiki for 60 days (tomorrow) I might start to have some days off. But maybe one day a week, so don't worry! I'll try to look over the wiki from time to time, engage with the discussions and edit as well (I still have to do the anime pages, I haven't finished them :) But that's my 'daily' update!!!
I had time today and I felt like editing, so I resumed adding the plot for S3 E8, but I haven't finished!
05/09/20[]
Well, I did reach the 60 days in a row, but now I feel like I want to reach 100 days in a row! I'm not just going to edit on my blogs and user page just to gain the day (because that would just be silly) I'll try my hardest to find some things to do ON the wiki, even if I finish the anime pages. I still really want to edit and help out on this wiki, even if it's something small. I don't know why I'm saying this, just wanted to :)
07/09/20[]
I am so glad that I've finally finished the plots for S3 E7 and E8. I'm not that great with summaries and also the time it takes is 'a lot' :D I'm happy that I had free time today to finish this off. Now I'll be on the Anime/Manga differences for S3 and then the rest of S4 and the other anime pages as well!!!
18/09/20[]
So while I've been changing the OSTs in each episode page (so far) so that they use the translation template for each OST listed (which I didn't know at the time. I only copied/pasted what was on the page itself. I didn't go on 'edit' and copy/paste the templates. Also, I didn't know about 'templates' and how to use 'source mode' as well) I've realized how much I've learnt about the wiki, Haikyuu and 'source mode', as I was changing the movies/OVAs and S1's OSTs (though I wasn't the one who added S1-3)
I'm sorry, I just wanted to share my change so far, as I've been on the wiki for a while now this year. This might sound stupid but I'm proud that I'm able to help out on this wiki :)
25/09/20[]
So I just saw the new PV for Cours 2 like, half an hour ago, and again, I'm super excited!!! Anything new to do with Haikyuu will definitely make me super excited. We get to hear more of the new OP and it sounds good! Also, from a translation I saw with subs, it sounds and looks really close to the manga, which is one of the best parts about the anime, it's really close to the manga and doesn't change much/anything :)
27/09/20[]
So I've finally caught up to the episode that I'm up to with the "anime adaptations" and changing the "OSTs used" so that they have the translation templates, or how I summarised, "Used OST templates". I can’t believe that I’ve done a lot on the anime pages (and I’m still not finished haha!) But I’m really enjoying editing on the wiki and even though I’ve been editing the anime pages 'only' I get to re-visit the anime/manga and remember/learn more things that I didn't notice the first time round until I started to really pay attention to the finer details!
01/10/20[]
I HAVE FINALLY FINISHED THE 'ANIME-TO-CHAPTER ADAPTATIONS' AND ALSO CAUGHT UP WITH FIXING THE ANIME PAGES!!! I've been on the anime pages for a LONG TIME now, but I’ve finally caught up and now I’ll be ready for episode 14! Now I say this, but I still have things to do regarding the anime pages (for example add images to the plots of some of the episodes) But this is some what an achievement for me. I wanted the previous anime pages to be 'finished' before the new episode/s comes out so I can focus on that, and then the other minor things I can do while I wait for the weekly episodes to come out. So that’s my little update and 'achievement' for me :)
I'm super excited for S4 C2 coming out tomorrow! I just hope that I can watch it, or find a way to watch it! Yesterday, I finally persuaded my parents to watch S4 again (because they watch Haikyuu in dub, and they're not that comfortable reading subs) Today we watched up to E8 (and I know we can't watch 5 episodes to reach E14!) but I’m really happy to be watching it in sub with my parents! Haha so yeah!
04/10/20[]
So I have time to write/type, so... Season 4 Episode 14... WAS AMAZING!!! It was great to see the anime again and to see Karasuno vs Inarizaki. Even though I’ve read the manga, I guess since I know what will happen, it makes it just the more exciting to see the manga panels come to life!!! Also, I really want to see how well they adapt the manga. Like, you kind of 'anticipate' what will happen, if that makes sense, like seeing Kiryuu, Daisho and Mika! I can't wait to see the rest of the season! Also, hearing the OP/EDs are so good. I know that One Day has taken my top spot for favourite ED. Even in the PV, it was so good and when I heard it fully yesterday, I instantly feel in love and even bought the whole song. I've already listened to it about 30 times now since yesterday! SPYAIR is really good, even Imagination and I'm a Believer are really nice. Toppakō is nice too. I can’t wait to hear the full version so I can make my mind up haha.
I'm going to watch the episode for the 3rd time now, but I'm going to edit the 'OSTs used' I'm really glad that they still used OSTs from previous seasons. I though there was going to be 1-2 that was used and then the rest was new/unreleased.
I have redeemed myself from last time! Now that I have Crunchyroll premium again, I can do the movie pages for the 3rd and 4th movies. I’ve already done the 3rd one, so soon I’ll do the 4th one. This time I’m checking everything before I lose the opportunity to watch the movies (even though they’re just recaps of the seasons)
11/10/20[]
I'm very happy now that I’ve finished the movie pages for both 'talent and instinct' and 'the battle of concepts'. I've defiantly redeemed myself from last time!
15/10/20[]
So I've been removing the chapter pages that had the 'Category: Article stubs' as I remembered the overviews/plots were added to these pages, so they're no longer stubs. I never knew there were a lot in the category so it took me about over 30 minutes to remove the category from each page!
So I think I mentioned this before when I reached the '60 days in a row' editing on the wiki, and how I said I would go to '100 days'. Now that I reached it today, I might not be as active as I was before! I think the main reason why I wanted to edit for this long was so that I could keep the streak, but I’m starting to become more busy now a days with school and study, and obviously that's my priority! Now, I'll still continue to edit on the wiki, just not as much as I did before! I'll still be able to go on the wiki, looking over the edits (just in case) and the 'discussion page', since I’m a 'discussion moderator' But some days, I might not edit or even post on the wiki! This is just a heads ups from me (if anyone reads this haha!)
18/10/20[]
So I want to write this down, here on this diary... Basically, I was skimming through the nationals arc (manga) as I was looking for where some of the women games were. I haven’t looked at the final arc yet but maybe some matches are shown in that arc so I’ll look through that later.
While I was skimming through the manga, I was reminded just how amazing the manga and the series is! Inarizaki, Nekoma, Fukurōdani and Kamomedai's matches were really good. Also I remembered SO MANY AMAZING PLAYS from everyone. I’ve re-read Inarizaki and Nekoma's match and the rest, I’ve read it once. Skimming back, I really should read the manga again, even the chapters that have been adapted in the anime. There really is this massive difference between the anime and the manga!
Now, even though I skimmed through the manga, I still felt the same emotions that I did when I first read the manga! Nekoma's match still never fails to amaze me! Also I still can’t get over the fact at how intelligent Kenma is (and I could've put down so many different adjectives to describe him!) and the Trashcan showdown will still remain my favourite match in the whole series!
Now I was really happy when I looked at Nekoma vs Karasuno's match... but then next it was Kamomedai's match (don’t worry, I didn’t forget Fukurōdani vs Mujinazaka, but since I've only read that once I don’t really remember a lot) Now, when I said my emotions were the same, I meant IT WAS THE SAME!!! I felt a little reluctant to look through the match because after reading the manga, I know what happens at the end, and it's just so HEARTBREAKING!!! But I looked at it anyway. At first, I did forget what happens at the end, but when I came closer to the end of the match, it hit me hard again, and I was just looking, not full reading it! I CRIED AGAIN when I saw the end and now, I’m kind of in a sad, depressed mood, haha!
But then again, on the flip side, it just goes to show how amazing Haikyuu is! There are so many amazing plays/rallies, the depth, build up and personalities of every individual character is UNBELIEVABLE and just the whole series is just... (too many words to describe the series. There isn’t one word. Also, you can tell from the rest how I feel about Haikyuu :)
I really need to read the manga again soon! I was just reminder of the beauty of Haikyuu!!
Well that’s what I did, my 'update' haha!!!
23/10/20[]
I’m actually surprised in myself that I was able to already note down the OSTs used in the resent episode. Normally, I would wait a few more days but I guess I really like this episode! I guess one of the reasons is because the two OSTs used at the end are my favorites and even though the episode just came out less than 2 hours ago, I’ve already repeated that segment of the episode at least a good 7 times now :)
Not really to do with Haikyuu, but the new wiki software and layout of everything, I really don't like it! It's good that they've added something on the profile that allows you to see your 'activity' but they've changed so much with the layout, fonting, colors and it's just... you get what I mean!
24/10/20[]
I re-watched Haikyuu from the beginning on the 20th and finished the 1st Season yesterday. I haven’t watch the series from the beginning in a while! Also, my parents have been watching Season 4 over again, so I need a break. I can watch the series again with my parents, but they watch it in dub over and over again, so I got bored of listening to the dub. Also, I don’t enjoy the dub that much. So I watched it in sub again and the series never fails to amaze me! I even cried again at the end of episode 24 when they eat and cry!
I'll watch the 2nd Season soon. It is my favourite Season so it will be nice to watch again!
30/10/20[]
Well, I guess you could say that this isn’t really relevant to Haikyuu but I wanted to share it here for some reason.
For me, now that I’ve started watching other anime, I’ve been looking around Wikia and for those series wiki's as well (hence the reason for my most recent blog) Also, I’ve mentioned that I love music, so I’ve been liking some of the OP/ED/OSTs from those series, hence I wanted to look at their page on their wiki.
Now, while I was looking at MHA: Polaris (and FYI, I haven’t watched it! It came up as a recommendation when I was listening to some anime music, same as Peace Sign, but I really like them!) I didn’t see a full version of the OP, so I decided to add it. BUT, I think then, I started to feel how I felt when I first edited on here: the Haikyuu wiki! I know that this whole platform is public, keeps track of the history of every user (I’m not saying it’s a bad thing at all! It’s actually really really clever and extremely useful, from an editor's perspective!) and also there are different layouts/rules for each wiki. So I uploaded the video onto the wiki and then added it on the Polaris page, but it’s different from the Haikyuu wiki music pages, as it wasn’t in the info box and not in a gallery. So long story short: I added it, the positioning of the video wasn't good, I kind of messed up the page, so I undid my edit 😁
I’m still not that great with the source code/mode, I’m still learning by looking at other pages and other edits/history of others so I'm learning :) Also, I got a little nervous when I edited on MHA. There was just a different feel and 'atmosphere' than here (Haha I sound stupid don't I!!!) But I guess it’s because I am still scared if my edits are undone or changed. Even here on the Haikyuu wiki, I still sometimes feel a little scared to edit, hence I always ask the admins first if I want to change something quite big, like the anime pages and my blogs. I do know I don’t have to feel this way and that one of the general rules of Wikia was that 'your edit might be changed, but don’t worry' but when I still edit, I do sometimes feel like that. That's probably why I’ve stuck to the Haikyuu wiki as I’m familiar with all of the rules, editors, layout and so on, you get what I mean and I’m just familiar with the community, if that makes sense. I don't think I will be banned from MHA, but if I am, I’m probably never going to edit on the wiki ever again 😅 I might try the other wikias that I’ve seen, but I’ll be extremely careful! I guess I’m just a cautious, observant person!
I don't really know why I wrote this here, I guess I just want to share this and just speak my mind sometimes. Also, it’s kind of relevant to the wiki though. Ohh well! That’s me today. I’ll do edits about the new episode: Trap tomorrow!
07/11/20[]
Well, it’s been a 'while'. I just wanted to say that it was nice that most of the OSTs used in the latest episode were some of the released ones. It also helped me to remember some as well, such as 'a bad feeling' and 'an annoying guy' But there was one new one and it was a nice one! it kind of sounded like a jungle if that makes sense haha.
Another thing I wanted to say is my decision on my favourite character: KITA SHINSUKE!!! I’ll explain why in my other blog But while watching this weeks episode, I was thinking that the next episode would be called 'Leader' and I was right! When I saw Kita holding up the substitution number of Aran, I knew that this was his moment!
13/11/20[]
So I guess I’ll 'write' in this blog once a week, depending if anything 'Haikyuu' related comes up, also either Friday, Saturday or Sunday, because I have the most time and also the latest episodes come out on Friday, so new, beautiful content to do with Haikyuu!! I was really glad that the episode wasn't going to be delayed until tomorrow, or else I wouldn't wait!
I’ve been waiting for this episode! KITA'S EPISODE (well you get the idea) Chapters 274 and 275 have been part of the chapters that I’ve read a lot of times, so when I watched the first half, the 'anime to chapter' adaptation was pretty good! I guess since I knew what was going to happen, I just enjoyed the visuals a little bit more, as well as the music! But seeing Kita... I mean, I sound a bit bias but seeing the manga get adapted... there's just something different, in a good way! I was really happy to see the quote that I’ve used throughout this week, as well as my wallpaper. Also, now my parents know who Kita is :) (yes they do watch Haikyuu with me, but like I’ve said before, they prefer dub) But away from that, it was a nice episode. I did quite a lot of 'reciting' the words and actions throughout the episode, as I’ve read the chapters around this area about 20 times 😅 but I can’t wait to watch it again so that I can add the OSTs! (there was a new one playing during Kita's part, and it sounds nice)
20/11/20[]
And yet again, the anime doesn’t fail my expectations! Another amazing episode: good Anime-to-Chapter adaptations (well from my memory when I read the manga) new, great OSTs and it’s just what I needed for this day and week after exams!
I can’t wait for the next episode! Haha, I’ve been saying this ever since Season 4 Cours 2 was resumed/started to air. Even my Mom noticed this!!! Every time I see the next episode's name at the end of the episode, I get really happy and excited (even when I guess It correctly)! I really like Inarizaki vs Karasuno's match and also it’s one of the matches that I’ve re-read after reading the manga fully, so from my memory, I remembered most of the events that happened and also the events that happened during the match are some of the BEST in the series (in my opinion!) So far, I’m really enjoying Season 4 Cours 2! I seriously can’t wait for Episode 22: Pitons: Hinata, receive, Pitons... UGH I could go on and I could read the manga to get myself ready, haha. But I’ll wait :( So tomorrow, I’ll add the OSTs!
21/11/20[]
Also to add to the excitement for the next episode, there was a PV specifically for it here (with english subs :)
29/11/20[]
Now it’s a Sunday and normally I would write on Friday or Saturday, but I wanted to write on the diary after I updated my 'favourite parts' of the series as the latest episode was just too good. The Anime-to-Chapter adaptation was really good as well. And they DIDN’T DISAPPOINT HINATA'S RECEIVE! So I’ve written everything here :) I seriously have no idea how I can write so much about one episode haha 😳 But it really it one of the best episodes in the series! Even though I’ve read the manga and I’ve said this a lot of times, but the anime is SO GOOD. Even though I know what will happen, when I watch the new episodes, it feels like I’ve never seen this before and it’s completely new content :)
Also, I have about 20 edits on that blog alone! Umm... I was just trying to fix the layout/structure so that it’s much better and I couldn’t just edit the whole blog because as I’ve written so much, the page and where to type shifts, so it’s harder for me to see where to type and that. So I had to do it in the headings/sections that I have :)
05/12/20[]
This surprisingly isn’t about the latest episode (but I will write about it when I note down the OSTs used in the latest episode :) It’s about the wiki's ‘discuss’ (I like to call it that) and being the ‘Thread moderator’ (so far) I don't know if anyone looks at this but I want to say this here. So, being the ‘Thread moderator’ has been great. I have the ability to edit posts/comments, change the category, lock and delete posts. Also to edit the GUIDELINES that I wish people would just read and follow, because that’s mainly the reason why I delete so many. They don’t follow the guidelines, for example, they’re not about Haikyuu (mainly), they're 'life updates' and small, irrelevant comments. Now I do seem strict but I'm really not, trust me! If you’ve read though this diary and my other blogs, you know that I’m just another massive Haikyuu fan like most people on this wiki!!! The reason why I want to take really good care of the ‘discuss’ is because I want people to discuss Haikyuu freely, like I once wanted, and just express and talk to fellow Haikyuu lovers as well. But also, I don’t want 'this fandom' to become toxic and full of mass disagreement, like some places and from what I’ve heard other people say. I really hate that and this really can apply to any fandom, not just Haikyuu. One thing that I’ve noticed is the way people 'share and express' their different/controversial opinions. like I made a post about it recently, which is maybe one reason why I’m writing about it. I just want people to be mindful about what they say and don’t take it too far.
I’ve seen the ‘discuss’ from the start when the platform/wiki changed from the old format. Now, I 100% prefer this style of discussing rather than the forums. But obviously in the early stages of it, when the team weren’t that active on the ‘discuss’ it was a little out of place, with no one moderating what was being posted or the comments. Now after seeing that, I stepped up and offered to help, hence I’m a ‘Thread moderator’ now :) But seeing the 'negative' sides of the fandom (this is only one part from what I’ve seen. Don't worry I’ll talk more about the positives :) like the 'Kuroo x Alisa' argument, or the time when there were users who didn’t follow the guidelines, I want to add a sense of order in the ‘discuss’ I just don’t want these things to happen again and I really want people to be happy. It does make me sad when I hear people say how "toxic" the fandom has been. Now I can only speak from what I’ve seen and heard (I entered the fandom in June/July this year) and when I hear that, I understand what they mean but that's just a minority of people who aren’t mindful about their opinions and are too 'literal' with them. That’s why, I want this ‘discuss’ to be different.
Now onto the positives yeah! I’ve seen so many other Haikyuu fans in the ‘discuss’ and it really does feel like a community (in my opinion) I know, even now, I’m still shy myself when it comes to expressing my passion, and with the extra responsibility and position that I have, I found it slightly harder to talk more, but I’m just like everyone else on the ‘discuss’: someone who like Haikyuu, so I shouldn’t have a reason to feel nervous. There are some AMAZING artists/writers with their fan-art/fan-fics and they're great too. Also being in the ‘discuss’ for a while and seeing all of the posts/comments, I’m starting to feel 'closer' if that makes sense with everyone. For some reason, when I saw that 'Kuroo x Alisa' post, I started to feel scared about the 'shipping' side of Haikyuu, as I know that that part of the fandom does get the most controversy, but the other users here are friendly and don’t mind other people's ships (I’m talking about the LARGE MAJORITY of people) I’ve always been VERY WARY of these conversations and posts, but I shouldn't really. People here are respectful and that’s how it should be. Me myself I 'am' a shipper I guess. Well I definitely have shipped the characters before, but not so much. But I’m not against it at all! It should be the same for other people as well.
You know, I’ve pondered and ranted a bit. Umm, gomen haha. Sometimes I just let my mind flow, hence I made this diary at put all of my thoughts in it. I'm still shy and anxious about sharing my thoughts publicly, but it’s nice to share this with others (again, if anyone reads this haha) Thanks for reading this kind of 'life update' about the ‘discuss’ I'll talk in here again tomorrow maybe if I’m not busy. I want to watch the episode again and not the OSTs down, but I need time and for no one to disturb me 😌
06/12/20[]
So I finally added the latest episode's OSTs! This episode was good as well (apart from the fact that the art style wasn’t the best again) I’M SO EXCITED FOR THE NEXT ONE. I know that the match will come to an end but before that... preview for the next episode... Hinata looking up... all exhausted... Take it easy: Part 2 Again one of my favourite chapters! It... it’s just a powerful moment I just don’t know how to describe it, like during E4: Take it easy. Just looking up and taking it easy, it’s just so good. Please anime don’t fail my expectations for this part!
10/12/20[]
Well I just spent a good over an hour looking through the ‘discuss’. It is hard work you know, but in the end, you meet loads of amazing people that like Haikyuu!! I just wanted to say this haha!
11/12/20[]
OH MY GOD!!! WHAT AN EPISODE!!! I watched that episode twice go absorb the whole lot of it. Like, I’m going to contradict myself but THIS HAS TO BE THE BEST EPISODE IN THE WHOLE SERIES AND NOT JUST THE SEASON AND MATCH!!! Ugh I wish I could stay up longer but it’s already late, so I’m just doing to share the brief feelings and thoughts I had over this week's episode. Also afterwards, I want back to Season 4 Episode 4: take to easy so I could see the 'take it easy' part again, Hinata's development. Well it was my parents who wanted to watch it, but it was so good to see that episode again and Hinata's lessons/skills have shone. UGH SAVE THAT FOR THE BLOG!!!
At first, I thought that the match/final point would be a cliffhanger at the end of the episode, like what happened during the Shiratorizawa match, Episode 9 and 10. So it was A MASSIVE SURPRISE that the duo blocked the 'Twins minus tempo back' and the match finished. Like there is SO MUCH I WANT TO GO INTO DETAIL IN, and I might end up typing all of it here haha. But I’ll leave it to tomorrow and onto my other blog. Also I'll write the OSTs as well. Hopefully I’ll have a lot of time tomorrow so I can expand, ponder, smile, shed tears, squeal a little, become shocked (like I completely forgot about Kageyama's setter dump and when it happened, I was shocked haha) and have 1000 emotions/thoughts run through my brain :)
12/12/20[]
So I started adding my 'analysis and explanation' for the latest episode on my blog And I’ve only done 1/3 of the episode. While I was doing the OSTs used in the episode, I also noted down the times and made a small summary of the moments in the anime (and manga) that I wanted to talk about. Also I was watching S4 from the beginning as my parents wanted to and it was 'hard' to concentrate as I kept reciting the dialogue and everything from those episodes. But it was nice!
29/12/20[]
Well... it has been a while haha. The reason I haven’t updated this is that I still haven’t written in my 'favourite moments' blog for the latest episodes of Season 4. I just haven’t found the time to actually sit down, write and analyse the episodes. But I have tried my best to visit the wiki everyday to check on the edits and also the discuss as well. Also Christmas and New Year have been keeping me busy. But in the new year, I’ll help out with the wiki and also write up everything in my blogs as well. So if I don’t get the chance to write in here before the New Year, HAPPY NEW YEAR FOR 2021!!!
17/01/21[]
I've finally finished my 'analysis' for Season 4 Cours 2. I’m actually glad I was able to do it :)
I feel like watching the series again from the beginning, even though I’ll be watching Season 4 again for the OSTs when they come out, which I am SUPER EXCITED FOR so I can blast them and put them on repeat for ages haha. I love the music so much. Anyway, I miss watching the series and also hearing the SUB VAs. Like my parents keep watching the series, which is great that they love it, but they keep watching it in dub and so I don’t really enjoy it as much. But when it comes to Season 4, obviously there hasn’t been a dub yet, so I can watch the series in sub with my parents, but we keep watching it, and so I miss the other seasons. I just wanted to say this. Also I hope this keeps me motivated through my classes haha.
21/01/21[]
So yesterday, I finally started watching the first episode of the whole series and it was so nice to see. I made a post on the ‘discuss’ so it wouldn’t only be on this blog/diary. I watched the second episode today and I saw some similarities. I’m going to keep thinking to further on in the series when I watch, but at the same time, I’m amazed at the development and how much the characters have gone through and also the plots and matches :)
06/02/21[]
So my progress with the anime, I’m on Episode 15 of the first Season which is actually good considering how busy I am lately. I’ve been adding to my blog after I watch to really remember what's happened. Also, noting down the anime episode is easier than the chapter, so most of the links will be to the anime episode.
Also, I’ve been listening to the Haikyuu OSTs lately, since on March 17 (Wednesday) Season 4's OSTs will be released, and I’m so excited!!! I can’t wait to listen to them on repeat, blast them on full, memorise them and add to my other blog. I just love the music and I can listen to them in any situation, anywhere!
I’ve still been active every day on the ‘discuss’ checking everything! It is tiring sometimes, checking posts and comments to see if they’re about Haikyuu, as well as the users. But I love seeing so many people talking and liking Haikyuu, as well as seeing their opinions and other things as well, even their talent when it comes to fan-work! So this is my little update haha.
14/02/21[]
OMG... I can’t believe that it’s been a whole year since I found out about Haikyuu and started to watch it on Netflix!!! I never knew that I would love Haikyuu so much, but here I am on the Haikyuu wiki haha. Damn a lot has happened in the year of Haikyuu for me: anime, manga, the manga ending and so much more. Also I’ve never experienced enjoying and being really 'obsessed' I guess over anything! Haikyuu is just so amazing, there isn’t just one single thing that makes it amazing, everything is amazing! Also being on this wiki and learning so much more about the series is great. Also I’m really happy to be a part of the team here and editing, though I still have a few more months to go before I talk about my 1 year anniversary on the Haikyuu wiki :) I’ve met so many people who also love Haikyuu and I’ve just learned so much from the series and even the fandom.
Well I finished Season 1 and S2 E1 today, so I get to start off another year of Haikyuu with my favourite season! Also I’m still super excited for Season 4's OSTs to come out in March. Since it’s a Wednesday, I won’t have time during the weekdays but 100% on the weekends, I'll go through the OSTs and add to my blog.
19/02/21[]
So I went onto my OST opinions blog to try and guess what OST is each name for Season 4. I based the OSTs to the names that I have translated. At first, for the first CD, it was really difficult for me to decide which OST would go for each name. I’m pretty sure the order that they are listed doesn’t necessary link to the order they are played in the anime, so I really had to think hard. Also, I started on S4 E1 and when I reached E5, I forgot the OVA: Land vs Sky and The Volleyball Way, and so I had more OSTs to listen to and consider. The first CD was definitely tricky as the names weren’t that "precise" (for me that is) for some of the OSTs. Like if you look, I have 3 missing as I couldn't work it out.
I tried to base my guesses on a few things:
- The name
- When it was played in the anime
- How it sounds
Even with those 3 things in mind to think about, it was hard as I thought about potential metaphors for the names, when they were played (like some were played a few times in different times so...) and a lot about the music (I’m studying music as a subject :) so yeah!
The second CD was definitely way more easier with the names and when they were played. But I did struggle with the one what plays in E23 when Kageyama serves after the eyecatch (one of my favs), the name "the birth of the serene king" and "the threat of trust". But other than that, it was easier than the first CD.
I actually found it fun, thinking about the names of the OSTs, about the possibilities and debating with myself haha. Even though it took me about over 2 hours to try and guess (that’s how serious I am haha :) I got to listen to the music again, which is amazing! I can never get bored with Haikyuu's OSTs. After guessing the OSTs, I’m even more excited for them to come out on March 17, to see if I'll get any correct at least haha and then maybe do a small analysis on some as to why the name is so fitting or if not, how it portrays the scene in the anime (like what I did with "direct confrontation" and "back in action" on the same blog linked above) or just explore/explain why the OST is so AMAZING!!! ~(Well when they did come out, I go so many wrong haha but it makes so much sense with their names!)
Well away from that, I’m on S2 E14 on my re-watch and I’ve been filling in my blog with all the moments for me in the anime 😁
09/03/21[]
I finally had time today, so I went updating my favourite moments blog as I finished Season 2 and I’ll watch Season 3 this week. I’m trying to get onto Season 4 before or when I can listen to the new OSTs so my mind will just focus on Season 4 and I can just flow with watching that instead of having Season 3 in the back of my mind. I really am excited and I still hope that it will be on Spotify or the least Youtube!
17/03/21[]
SEASON 4'S OSTS HAVE BEEN OFFICIALLY RELEASED AND THEY ARE SOUNDING ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!
This is like the first time that I’ve been really excited for the release of music (probably because I don’t really have a specific favourite genre or artist/band haha) But this has definitely been an amazing wait and the music is just beautiful. MASSIVE SHOUTOUTS TO ASAMI TACHIBANA-SAN AND YUKI HAYASHI-SAN FOR THEIR AMAZING COMPOSITIONS FOR THESE OSTS!!!
There is just a lot I would love to talk about. Even though they've just been released today, I’ve listened to them about 2-3 times now fully (and I definitely wasn't listening to them during class...) Their names for each OST, now that I’ve listened to them, makes so much sense and apparently there was a pamphlet that came with the CD with extra notes about each OST, which I'll look later on in the week to not pile so much amazing content all in one day. Also, listening to them fully and with no audio is just so great (I’m running out of adjectives haha) There are so many different styles: upbeat, rock n roll, orchestral, calm, soothing, motivational, sounds similar to released OSTs (mainly all from Yuki Hayashi-san) and just so much more. In addition, there are 4 OSTs that haven’t played in the anime, similar to "watermelon" in Season 2's 2nd disc. It shocked me at first but they sound so "happy" (except from "Trap" which sounds really upbeat) and they make me smile :) Also knowing that there are 2 composers, I kind of figured out which composer made which OST. But it’s interesting with both of their styles and the instruments that they use. With some of Yuki Hayashi's OSTs, they used/sounded similar to previous OSTs for Haikyuu which were nice to see the connection between the OSTs and also when they were played as well. On the other hand, Asami Tachibana-sans OSTs were completely "new". I know only recently I found out that she composed a lot more of the previous OSTs for Haikyuu and so I didn’t really pick up on the differences (and the fact that I’ve already memorised all 120 OSTs :) But I really wish I knew earlier, OMG SHE'S AMAZING and she even made an insight demo video to how she made Miya Atsumu's theme (which is definitely one of my top favourite Haikyuu OSTs!!!) But overall, music is amazing and with discovering Haikyuu, I’ve loved music even more and learnt so much about it!
Well... that is my sort of summary haha. I’ve been listening to them while writing obviously and I can’t wait to add to my blog. I’m listening to them FULLY and not just the start (I’ve learnt my lesson when I did Season 1-3 on my own. But I didn’t put the times for those episodes on this wiki) I'm also trying to memorise them (well to the best I can) But I’m not only doing this for the wiki. I like it when I can just hear a Haikyuu OST and be able to tell what it is (like perfect pitch but with Haikyuu OSTs haha) and I get to listen to amazing music on repeat without getting bored! So 120 + 52 = 172 Haikyuu OSTs to memorise (if you add the OP/EDs then 186 as 14 in total. I did this Math while in class for some reason :) Also I find it fun when I "test" myself if I can tell which OST is playing (English translation of course) and that's with Season 1-3's, let alone +52 to that haha. Literally it’s just Haikyuu!! I don’t think I could ever do this with another series (if I find one I love just as much and am able to find and listen to the OSTs) It’s only been out for less than a day and how come I can write so much!?!?!?!?
20/03/21[]
So I've been busy with Season 4's OSTs (to be honest, this diary really feels like it’s for me, but I know some people have looked at this, so they'll just see what I’ve been doing and feel with Haikyuu haha) as you can see from my edits today and A LOT to do with my blogs. I made a new one to change the title of the blog a little so it’s here and I’ve just been copying/pasting and editing a lot! About noting the OSTs, someone beat me to it haha. I kinda had a feeling that someone would as Saturday is just too far, but my weekdays have been busy and I only managed to edit some things when it’s night for me. But I memorised the OSTs yesterday and so in the morning I just checked over them! I’m actually surprised I got them down so fast, considering the number of OSTs (52) and getting the English names correct. But I listened to them so many times the moment they were released, so maybe that helped.
05/04/21[]
Hi! So I haven’t 'really' done a lot to do with Haikyuu recently, except from listening to the OSTs obviously (and not just Season 4's, all 172 :) I've tried to motivate myself to watch Season 4 but for some reason I don’t feel like it! I have started to watch Episodes 1-5 and now I have some free time I might be able to resume watching it!
On the wiki, I’ve started to edit the ==Quotes== from each character as there're inconsistencies with the structure (either using the quote template or just listing them) and also just some minor changes to the character pages, like if there are any extra spaces or just anything minor really!
I just had some time today and wanted to write here! I need to add to my favourite moments blog for Season 3 and even Season 4 as well. I just need motivation haha. But I don’t think it will be too hard for me to find it since it’s Haikyuu!! I have the music, anime and wonderful characters that make me smile every time haha.
03/05/21[]
It's been almost a month since the last time I wrote on this blog/diary. This isn’t a sign that I don't like Haikyuu as much as before, no no!!! I just need the time to write and also I don't only want to just say, "I’ve been watching the anime" so I’ve been kind of waiting for more things to come up so I can write them down in one go.
So a while ago, I was sewing this small bag that I had and I added ハイキュー!! on it. I posted it on the ‘discuss’ as well.
I also printed some screencaps from the anime. I needed something 'Haikyuu' on my wall, and what's better then my favourite shots and characters from the anime! All of there are here!
I think after the photos arrived, some stickers from Suncelia from Redbubble arrived and THEY WERE BEAUTIFUL!!! I got 4 of her chibi stickers: Trash-can Kenma, Trash-bag Hinata, Kita the cleaner and Bokuto's face!!! SO CUTE, I LOVE HER WORK SO MIUCH!
Yes, I have been watching the anime occasionally. I sometimes watch it with my parents, but that's only if they’re on Season 4... (I need to watch it in sub!!!) On top of that, Haikyuu has infected my whole family with so many quotes and references from the series, it's basically part of our vocabulary now haha!!! Sometimes it’s just comes out and I laugh, or it’s has nothing to do with the conversation / off topic, which I also at laugh as well!
06/06/21[]
Wow... it’s been a whole year since I made an account on this wiki!!! I don’t remember if it was this date or the 7th (even though I looked through my history and the deletion log), but it was when I made the list of all the Haikyuu OSTs played in each episode as a page (not a blog page) on the wiki. I’ve learned my lesson obviously and I’m very happy to be a part of this fandom and this wiki. I’ve learned so much from the beginning (and I’m still learning) about editing, Haikyuu obviously and talking to other people!!!
Not relevant to the wiki, but I was really glad that I got these Haikyuu related stuff for my birthday!!! They were so cute and getting the first manga volume has 'encouraged' or sparked me to read the manga again. Well not now sadly but hopefully I’ll read all 402 chapters during my holidays. Since I have a lot of time, I’ve been venturing into the world of anime and have been watching quite a few new series, hence I haven't really been editing on my blogs. But Haikyuu is already a massive part of my life and I still want to continue to edit and talk to others about it (while there isn’t any new news haha)
06/07/21[]
So for the wiki, I was changing the characters that had the minor infobox to have the normal one. I was trying to spread that out so I didn’t do all of them in one go.
Away from the wiki, I’m back into the Haikyuu phase haha! Well during the last and this month, I was exploring different anime/manga so I haven’t really focused on Haikyuu. But recently, I went out and bought 3 manga volumes: 30, 31 and 35. Now for a little insight, 30 is Broken Heart (Tanaka and Nekoma vs Sarukawa Tech) 31 is Hero (Kita and Nishinoya & Kinoshita) and 35 is Birdcage (Kenma's plan to 'contain Hinata') Not all of the volumes were there so I picked out the 3 'best' volumes (there was a deal :) After I looked through them, I instantly fell in love again, remembering the Inarizaki match and also Nekoma vs Karasuno as well! In my opinion, these are all one of the best best volumes (though the whole of Haikyuu is amazing, don’t get me wrong!) and I can’t wait to read them!!! Today I read the first volume, the one I was given, and it was just great reading and looking back at how Haikyuu all started with the middle school match, and then leading up the 3-on-3 match!! Also, it really is much better with the physical copy rather than reading it online, but I’m happy that I was able to read the whole of the manga! So with these manga volumes I’ll read them (I don’t care at all that it isn’t in order!!!) enjoy the series and I might type up on my fav moments blog haha!!!
13/08/21[]
You know, Haikyuu will literally never grow old for me... NEVER!!! Like even if I don’t watch, read or listen to any of the music in a while, the series will just find a way back into my life, make me so happy and it will just make me remember why I love Haikyuu!! I know I’ve been on the wiki everyday, but having the time alone to 'expand' on the series is what I need!
So from my recent edits, I’ve been back to adding the OSTs played, but this time, in the first 3 OVAs. When I went on Crunchyroll, I saw that those three were on there and I was so happy to see that!!! I had to watch them ASAP. Even though I’ve watched the first 2 already, you can’t go wrong with Haikyuu, especially when it’s content that isn’t in the seasons (or even in the manga), and is also full of comedy!!! In addition, it’s been a while since I heard the OSTs. I haven’t tested myself so I was kind of worried I might name an OST incorrectly. But luckily my memory is good and the OSTs were still correct haha. I just find hearing and naming Haikyuu OSTs fun for some reason!!! You can see the OSTs and timestamps here. But of course, the OVAs are really nice. It was my first time watching the 3rd one, which is a TV show/interview with the teams. I love seeing the characters again after a while and I kept laughing so much. VS Failing Grades is just full of comedy right at the beginning! Seeing Nekoma in The Arrival Of Lev Haiba was great and seeing all the other teams in Miyagi before and after the tournament was a nice side to see.
So away from the anime, the manga! Last time I wrote here, I had 4 volumes, but now I’m starting to collect all of them!!! I know it will take a while, but I feel like just slowly gaining them one by one is really exciting! I know I’ve read the manga online, but obtaining the physical copy, as well as seeing the extra content/sketches is small, is really nice. Also you can take your time reading and you don’t need to wait for the chapters to load as you have them right in front of you!
It’s been about 1 1/2 years since I discovered and watched Haikyuu, and it’s still making me excited to this day! 😊
02/10/21[]
My 1 year anniversary being a Thread Moderator!!! It’s already been a year wow! I love seeing everyone talking and enjoying Haikyuu, sharing their fan-work and everything!!!
Manga wise... I’ve collected over half now!!! But I’ll be patient because of the printing shortage of manga! Besides, it's fun collecting them one by one rather than get all of them. I wonder if there will be a Haikyuu box set... There might be more than 1 to be honest because there's 45 volumes! (just some inner thoughts haha)
30/01/22[]
Happy New Year... for this diary haha!!! Well, it's been a while. STILL NO NEW CONTENT WITH THE ANIME, except from the dub for Season 4 coming out in March I believe. I’ve finally edited on the wiki consecutively for a whole year... that'e amazing for me haha!!! I was just reading part of Karasuno vs Kamomedai's match for some reason and ended up reading the whole of my V41 and 42 physical manga! Wish I had the rest, but I'll definitely collect all of the manga soon 😁 You know what, I think I’ll test myself again with the OSTs 🎼 It’s coming up to my 2nd anniversary discovering and liking Haikyuu, so why not!!!
14/02/22[]
Two years later and I’m still in love with Haikyuu!!! I’ve got now 36/45 manga volumes!!!
17/02/23[]
I have finally collected all 45 physical English volumes of Haikyuu!!! I’m very happy that I have all of them now (with me buying other volumes as well along the journey...) but I’ve completed the main goal!!!
