Overview[]
Karasuno is holding their own against Kamomedai despite the latter's troublesome blocks; however, Kamomedai is quickly adapting and gradually reveals their true prowess.
Plot[]
Kamomedai earns their first block point in just the second rally of the set. While the others credit the success to Hirugami, Futakuchi and Tsukishima are well-aware that one amazing blocker isn't comparable to a well-established blocking system of the whole team.
In the following play, Daichi steadily receives Hoshiumi's second serve. Hinata immediately changes his tempo and joins the rest for an all-out synchronized attack in an attempt to confuse the blockers. The tactic proves effective as Kamomedai fails to stop Tanaka's powerful spike. Once again, Karasuno demonstrates their aggressive offense made possible by Kageyama's exceptional talents.
After Tanaka flubs his serve, Kamomedai's first-year middle blocker, Bessho, rotates into the front row. Hirugami uses a jump floater to successfully mess with Tanaka's receive. Kageyama quickly repositions himself to compensate for the imperfect pass while Hinata sprints forward. Although Bessho dreads facing off against Hinata, he manages to remain calm and executes a bunch read block with Gao and Nozawa. Kamomedai's three blockers have yet to grasp the proper timing; thus, they failed to reach Hinata's spike by a hair. However, their impressive blocking system is becoming apparent as Tsukishima compares them to playing against three copies of Date Tech's Aone.
