"Visiting Kodzuken" (Japanese:
Overview[]
Nekoma visits Kenma and attempt to get him to join in a get together barbeque but find getting him away from his games to be quite the challenge.
Plot[]
Members of the Nekoma team gather in front of Kenma's home. Kuroo calls out for Kenma to join them but the former setter is nowhere to be seen. Despite Kuroo admitting he would go to Kenma's house all the time when they were younger, Yamamoto comments how showing up at Kenma's house without prior knowledge may not have been a great idea now that they are adults.
Kuroo decides to do as he did when they were kids and lets himself into the house even as Shibayama thinks this may not be a good idea and make them look suspicious to others who may be watching. Kuroo eventually finds Kenma while he is streaming but, due to Kenma's disheveled and sleep-deprived appearance, mistakes him for a stranger who broke into his friend's house.
Pausing his stream, Kenma questions what the group is doing there and learns they want to have a small get together and want him to join. Kenma dismisses the invitation but does allow them to have the barbeque on his property so long as they do not bother him again. Kai questions if Kenma is working on another game and Kenma answers that he is working on a game for his one billionth subscriber by playing a high fps game. Hearing this, Lev is stunned at hearing what Kenma is putting himself through.
In an attempt to get Kenma away from his game to relax, Kuroo warns his friend that a bear will arrive to get him if he continues playing without rest. Naturally, Kenma does not believe him and thinks that Kuroo is actually worse than a bear. He requests his friends not disturb him anymore and returns to his stream.
Kenma apologizes to those watching his stream and gets back to the game. He continues from where he left off with his online companion but it's not long before those in the chat point out that someone is standing behind him. Kenma turns and spots Kai standing in the doorway and offering him some of the food they've made.
Kenma pauses his game and leaves the room. Despite the door being closed, the people watching the stream can hear Kenma scolding his friends for bothering him and that he will eat once he is done with the stream. When he gets back, Kenma again apologizes to his watchers and explains that his friends had unexpectedly appeared and want him to join them. He is able to play for a few minutes before being interrupted again but this time by Kuroo.
Trying not to bother Kenma's stream, Kuroo attempts to use signals to get Kenma to stop gaming. Kenma uses signals in return to try to get Kuroo and the others to leave him alone and turns down Kuroo wanting him to promote the volleyball association. After Fukunaga attempts to get Kenma to join them but only makes him laugh with his gimmick, Kenma remains firm in wanting to continue his stream. Kenma starts to become more frustrated as he continues to be interrupted by Akane wanting to know where the bathroom is and Lev announcing that he invited Alisa.
At his wits end, Kenma confronts Kuroo and makes it clear that he does not want to be bothered again or else he will delete all of the volleyball associations videos. After Kenma goes back inside, Kai asks if Kenma will calm down after a while. Yamamoto feels like Kenma is more like a child rebelling. As the group accepts that Kenma will not join them until he is ready, they return to the barbeque with Kuroo feeling that his bear story would have worked when Lev suddenly presents an actual bear.
Finally back to his game, Kenma continues where he left off. He begins playing again with his online partner and ignores the sudden commotion coming from outside. Even as the chat claim that they see Lev and Yamamoto being attacked by a bear, when Kenma looks he sees nothing and think that his friends are just goofing around and tells his viewers to turn up the volume to drown out the cries for animal control and using volleyballs as weapons.
Kenma continues to play and, with the views and subscribers having increased, decides to end the stream. Just as he is about to end it, the bear suddenly crashes into his room after it was tranquilized by Mineo. As the older man takes the bear away, Kenma remarks how Kuroo's story seemed to have been true but still thinks that his friends are worse than the animal itself.
