"Where Monsters Go" (Japanese: バケモノたちの
Overview[]
The heated third set between Fukurōdani and Mujinazaka continues. Led by their respective aces, the two powerhouse teams pull off highly-skilled plays as they vie for dominance.
Plot[]
Kiryū's valiant effort to score is thwarted when Komi cleanly receives his spike. Akaashi immediately tosses to Sarukui, who lands a straight to bring the score to 21-19 in favor of Fukurōdani. Mujinazaka calls for a timeout, and Kiryū instructs his teammates to entrust the ball to him for difficult setups. Meanwhile, Fukurōdani is relishing the moment and acknowledging each other for a job well done.
Fukurōdani's momentum is high as the game restarts. After constantly doing power serves, Bokuto catches Mujinazaka by surprise when he performs a soft serve. Bishin barely makes a save, but Washio quickly smashes the returning ball down to widen Fukurōdani's lead. Ezota successfully receives Bokuto's following serve, and Kiryū runs up in preparation to spike. With Fukurōdani's attention diverted to Kiryū, Usuri switches to a dump shot and scores. It's now Kiryū's turn to serve. He sends a powerful serve toward Bokuto, who successfully bumps the ball despite being sent rolling backwards from the force. Akaashi begins to calculate his attack options and is surprised to find Bokuto already in the air calling for a back row set.
