"Why is it that Noya-san is so Cool, but Still isn’t Popular with Girls?" (Japanese: ノヤッさんはこんなにカッコイイのになぜモテないのか。 Noyassan wa Kon'nani Kakkoī Noni Nazemote Nai Noka?) is an extra chapter in Volume 12. The book was published on August 4, 2014.

Overview Edit

The Karasuno team debates why despite Nishinoya's cool personality, none of the girls are interested in him.

Plot Edit

In today's debate, Tanaka discusses why Nishinoya is romantically unpopular even though he's so cool. Hinata goes first, exclaiming that Nishinoya is simply too cool. This causes Nishinoya to happily call out Hinata's name with his arms open, in which Hinata responds quizzically. Daichi states that Nishinoya can be too hard on both himself and others. Asahi responds that around Nishinoya, people feel like very small human beings. Daichi then places a hand on Asahi's shoulder, and the ace interprets that gesture as the captain pitying him. Yamaguchi comments that Nishinoya seems a little childlike, and Sugawara adds that Nishinoya does seem like the type to take someone out crayfish fishing as a date. Tanaka reasons that it's only because the only movies Nishinoya would watch are over the top action flicks, and he'll yell randomly in the middle of them. Tsukishima starts to say that Nishinoya is simply obnoxious, but not so discreetly corrects himself. Instead, Ennoshita says it, and Narita and Kinnoshita are surprised by Ennoshita's boldness. Kageyama then wonders if Nishinoya's just too short. Everyone stops talking and turns to him, much to his confusion.

At the end, Hinata gravely says that after that incident, no one saw Kageyama again. In the back, Kageyama yells that Nishinoya only made him buy a Garigari-kun.
