Yoshiya Takachiho (Japanese: 高千穂 (たかちほ) 恵也 (よしや) Takachiho Yoshiya) is a third-year at Nohebi Academy. He is a wing spiker for the Boys' Volleyball Team.

Appearance[]

Takachiho has black, spiky hair with his front fringe styled up, similar to Koganegawa. In the anime, his hair is a dark brown color. He has snake hooded eyes like the rest of Nohebi.

Personality[]

Takachiho seems to be a decent person despite his team’s habits. Along with Numai, he is the only third-year who isn’t seen taunting his opponents and he is often seen smiling when he’s with his teammates. Additionally, he is seemingly more supportive of his captain than the other third-years.

Plot[]

Spring High Preliminary Arc[]

Takachiho OVA 4-1

As the match between Nohebi and Nekoma progresses, Yaku injures his foot, and gets replaced by Shibayama.[1] Right after when Fukunaga scores against Nohebi, Numai yells at them to grab them a ticket to nationals no matter whatever it takes, and his team gets more motivated to win. Takachiho gives a small but friendly laugh at this. Soon after, it’s Takachiho’s serve, but Yamamoto is able to get the ball.

Nearing the end of the match, it’s Takachiho's turn to serve once again. He notices that Yamamoto is in a perfect place to attack, but he makes his targeting obvious, which is something Kai notices and he is able to receive it, frustrating Takachiho.

Takachiho OVA 5-1

After Nohebi’s loss, the third-years all stare at Daishō with tired looks on their faces, and Sakishima says that there is no mercy for the lucky guys and they all start attacking each other playfully while having tears in their eyes.[2]

Takachiho seems to get along well with his teammates, especially with the third-years since he is once himself. When Numai is telling Nohebi to go to nationals, he gives a small friendly laugh and after Nohebi’s loss, he is seen wrestling his teammates playfully following their loss.

Trivia[]
